I told you the fix was in had it gone to the judges. Fi!thy sport. I know how they work it. Crooked ref didn't call the clear knockdown in rd 2 or 3 whatecer it was. Filthy boxing. So predictable.
Yes but the ref missed a knockdown later when Stevenson caught him with a great hook and the ropes kept him up..so the missed knockdown calls went both ways.

Getting knocked into the ropes isn't a knockdown.
It is when the ropes is what helped you stay up.

The worse call was in the 3rd when Gvozdyk CLEARLY dropped Stevenson with a right hand counter flush on the chin, but for whatever reason wasn't credited with a knockdown.

The LHW division is really opening up. I hope we get Alvarez/Gvozdyk which would finally unify the Stevenson and Kovalev lineages. Hell, maybe we can finally get Kovalev/Stevenson now that they're both damaged goods.

Stevenson almost certainly will never fight again. He's in critical condition apparently as a result of last night's fight.

I agree...was a fishy "miss" favoring the home fighter..but missed the other one as well...seen so many mistakes by this ref up here and he's still Canada's#1 go to ref.. especially in Quebec.. although I don't think he's responsible for Stevenson s injuries (maybe could've stopped it one shot before the last one but very hard to say) he's a very poor official.

Of course. That's the one I was talking about. One of the worst calls ever. Then, of course, the judges were all set to fix the decision. Boxing is so corrupt now that t is almost 100% predictable. In Las Vegas make that 100% even. As for ropes, fighters are always getting banged into ropes and held up by ropes. That's not a knockdown.

a lot of refs dont seem to call knock downs when a guy stay up with the ropes. i guess in part theres the added subjectivity of wether the ropes actually did keep the fighter up, but almost wonder if some have it as a principle thing where they dont see it as a true knockdown?

that 3rd round though....almost wondering if ref hadnt been paying full attention because it happened so fast at the start of the round,....because that was clearly a landed counter right hand that dropped stevenson
