Hurd vs Jermell - 2019? and who would win it?

Post by apollo creed »

Hurd is a big dude , a smw fighting at super ww. He's bigger than Jermell and I think it would be a tough fight for both.

If Charlo is as good as made out, he beats Hurd via points or late KO, for me.

Hurd at LMW - it is a very bizarre fact. He should compete at LHW.

Much as I hate to say it I think Jermell likely wins the fight. I'd very much love for Hurd to prove me wrong though, but his "I'll take everything you got, and just walk you down" act ain't gonna work every time out at the World Class level.

I don't know about that. Hurd seems REALLY tough, and hard to hurt, but not too terribly hard to outbox. I think Jermell will outbox him, and win a lopsided UD.

Rounds 9 thru 12 are gonna be the harder part for him. Hurd comes on hard down the stretch.

Jermell is the more technically sound of the two twins, and has the type of style that could better handle a guy like Hurd.

Hurd seems to be trying to transition into a more technical style, but he looked confused and not sure what to do at times last night.

a bigger, stronger, and overall better fighter than Wellborn can hurt him if he fights like that, the plus side for hurd is that he might have developed into a one-punch KO fighter with his increase in tehcnique.

I see Jermall taking most of the rounds in the first half of the fight, and the second half being up for grabs by both guys.

will be interesting to see if Hurd just reverts back into his walking down style in the later half if his new style doesn't work.

I would give Hurd much more of a chance if he wasn't such a slow starter. Jermie isn't going to let him get away with that. He starts hard and will rack up a solid 3 rounds of points and punishment before Hurd starts to warm up and I don't think he can turn it around by then. If he can, full credit to him, but I think Charlo will find a home for his jab right from the first bell and follow it up with some crunching body work.

If Lara could not outbox Hurd I really doubt that Jermell can. I think Hurd could stop Jermell in the later rounds due of his size and pressure.
