What is Anthony Joshua thinking today?
Re: What is Anthony Joshua thinking today?
He's thinking "sh*t, how can I prolong fighting fury even longer"

I agree with most of what you said also. I've been pcking fury as a world champion since his early pro days. I was laughed at on here when I picked him to beat the then unbeaten Price and got laughed at on here by some of the current posters. I said he would beat Wlad if he was fully fit and android mentally focused. I thought Wilder would either edge him or stop him late last night. I've always picked him to beat AJ, but I also believe that one punch froAJ can turn the fight aroundBoxingcutsman wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 16:51I agree with most of that tbh, I’ve been involved and around Boxing in different capacity’s most of my life in one way or another and I don’t know one single fighter personally who is scared or has been to face any other fighter, everyone is human, bleeds and can be hurt, it’s what fighters do, fight, there are a few obviously but it’s usally the people around them that put blocks in the way. I may be biased because Tyson and his uncle peter are both good friends of mine and have said this any time I’ve been asked and long before any of these match ups was spoken about, but Tyson is the man to beat for so many reasons in the HW division, he’s so big, awkward and amazing movement, talent and belief for such a big man with a heart even bigger that it will take a hell of a lot to deny him, he only ever loses if it’s to himself for what ever reason, again just my opinion but I truly believe he makes AJ look so silly and robotic it’s unreal, he’s no where near as quick or hits as hard it the movement of Wilder and we all seen what Tyson did last night after nearly 3 years after a half meaningful, meant to be competitive fight and a hell of a lot of weight gain, drink and substance abuse and terribly sad battle with mental illness, imagine now what he does if he stays active, in shape some what and healthy both mentally and physically ?keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 16:41 I'm assuming BT won't let Fury fight AJ on Sky Box Office. If I was Eddie, I'd be trying to make AJ-Wilder, but and no matter what he offers, if Finkel doesn't play ball, the casuals will blame Hearn and say that AJ is scared. The notion that any of AJ', Wilder or Fury are somehow scared of one of the others is ludicrous.

No. You're a poster with perspective.

There is nothing from Hearn or Joshua commenting on the fight.
It's all very quiet at Humble HQ
Perhaps they think if they stay quiet, it will go away and they can drag Whyte out in April for another all Matchroom beatdown?
Sad really. Not my idea of a HW blockbuster. Even the casuals will be asking why not Wilder or Fury
All I could find was a supposed email by Eddie saying neither was next for AJ.
Re: What is Anthony Joshua thinking today?
Im glad they have to have a rematch so eddie can get me the 67th ranked fighter at my weight as a mandatiry
Re: What is Anthony Joshua thinking today?

But that's all in your head. Show me some evidence of Joshua prolonging not fighting Fury. There isn't any, so I wouldn't spend too much time looking if I was you.

Yh most of them that laughed when you said it are the exact same people who pay silly money for tickets to only the huge shows and spend most there time either waffling the ears off someone in the toilet or at the bar whilst gurning and pulling weird faces or shouting “kill him” “knock him out” “left hook, left hook” whilst shadow boxing square on with there other hand down by there socks with there chins in the air so I’d take that with a pinch of salt mate, I agree in heavyweight boxing anything can happen but for me, Joshua isn’t a concussive puncher or a one punch knockout artist like someone like Wilder is Joshua relies more on stunning opponents and then throwing lots of punches and allow the fainter hearted British refs to jump in and stop fighters, whilst in America they allow fighters to get what I would say are proper stoppages/knockouts, we saw Fury take not only heavy brain scrambling shots around the top of the head that scramble your equilibrium but it followed up with a full on left hook clean on the chin by arguably if not the hardest hitting heavyweight in history one of the top 2 or 3 and him still get up so I can’t see Joshua stopping him tbh, he’s too slow and ponderous for Tyson and not rangey enough despite his size, people don’t fully appreciate the size of fury and his movement until your in with him or up very close, he’s very very awkward and hard to read.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 17:59I agree with most of what you said also. Agree with your point on referees. Had Fury suffered the 2nd knockdown in a British ring the ref wouldn’t even have started a count, he’d have just waved it offBoxingcutsman wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 20:43 allow the fainter hearted British refs to jump in and stop fighters, whilst in America they allow fighters to get what I would say are proper stoppages/knockouts
Re: What is Anthony Joshua thinking today?
Fukk AJ and what he's thinking! Two of the top boys just went for it there and they deserve all the credit going!
Re: What is Anthony Joshua thinking today?
ya, joshua beat whyte, wlad, parker, breazeale, takam, martin, and molina during furys time out. fury wasnt there to fight when aj really emerged and for his firs two comeback fights obviously wasnt looking at an aj level opponent. so were talking about practially no period where it couldve realistically happened
actually quite remarkable how much aj did in that period

Perhaps he has disappeared to some remote part of the world where he can really concentrate on his bulking cycle.Controversial wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 14:11 He’s very quiet, can’t see any mention of the fight on his twitter account and can’t see any interviews. For someone who wants the fight so bad it’s odd he wasn’t at ringside.
