Anyway.... this makes some prettt grim reading:

Strange that Wilder is held to a higher standard than Fury. Those are atrocious numbers for Fury too. Wilders punches had the more quality, he throws them in anger, Fury just paws & slaps. Awful puncher.MarkMcBurney wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 09:59 Grim reading for Wilder for sure. Three rounds he outlanded Tyson for punches landed and only two rounds he landed more power punches. Nobody can use those stats to discredit a Fury win IMO.
Punch stats don't hold anyone to any standard - they just show who landed more as I said.RKY wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 10:04Strange that Wilder is held to a higher standard than Fury. Oh I completely agree. The fact remains however that his punches landed are more than Wilder in 99% of areas, which is why it's damning for Wilder IMO if he's arguing he won the fight.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 10:39 There were many early rounds were almost nothing happened. Fury would do well to throw more shots if he wants to win fights.

Fury is a stink-out merchant. The last few rounds were good viewing though and r12 was pretty sensational. Much thanks to Wilder though, he never stopped chucking bombs and maintained his belief he could get it done despite such negative tactics.
My thoughts if i could convey em like that.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 16:45 What I don't get is why Fury doesn't let his hands go just a LITTLE, bit more. |Nobody is asking him to turn into Joe Frazier, A Couple of times he landed some cracking 1-2's against Wilder right down the pipe as McKenzie would say, and halted Deontay in his tracks, but then went back to moving and feinting. Why not force the fight and put the other man under some sustained pressure, much easier to win rounds when you have a burst of 4-5 unanswered shots.
If he'd landed a bit more, he might have been able to knock either the wind, or some of the belief out of Wilder, as it was, Wilder knew there was very little coming back, and so just kept winging away.
He's always going to be up against it with those tactics, there didn't seem anything wrong with his stamina, and he must have burnt off a lot of energy with all the feints and movement, so why not just throw your hands some of the time, instead of feinting.?
Relying on having the perfect fight to win, where you barely get hit for 12 rounds, is a very hard act to pull off, especially at heavyweight.
I think his camp need to look at a way he can execute his style, but land enough to win rounds clearly.
If you landed only 13 more punches, and got knocked down twice. You didn't win the fight.MarkMcBurney wrote: ↑03 Dec 2018, 09:59 Grim reading for Wilder for sure. At least when Wilder did land it busted Furys nose, floored him, the practically KOd him.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 17:06 Like I said before, when people wanted to say that the fight in Germany was only because Klitschko didn't try--- and here you see Wilder throwing next to nothing, and when he did he rarely connectes--- that it had nothing to do with Klitschko not trying but rather Fury makes even an aggressive man cautious as hell.
Fury is like Johnny Frankham in the 70s, slippery as an eel. Look at that round 10 score... Wilder landing "1" of 31... Look at that round 11 score... Wilder landing "3" of 32... It was completely clownish... Has a Heavyweight title holder ever looked THAT inept in a championship fight (barring the two KNOCKDOWNS)?
Fury did the more significant work in there. Tbh, I think Wilder's compubox is somewhat inflated, as most punches I seen him land were on Fury's arms and gloves. That doesn't count.
You did if those 13 punches were spread out over the entire 12 rounds and your opponent won no more than 3 or 4 rounds, with the knockdowns.gilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 19:18If you landed only 13 more punches, and got knocked down twice. They were - but landing 1 punch more than the other guy doesn't win you the rounds, it's not the amatuers.MarkMcBurney wrote: ↑05 Dec 2018, 05:07You did if those 13 punches were spread out over the entire 12 roundsgilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 19:18If you landed only 13 more punches, and got knocked down twice. Not when the other guys punches are harder, and more damaging, and yours are taps by comparison.MarkMcBurney wrote: ↑05 Dec 2018, 05:07You did if those 13 punches were spread out over the entire 12 rounds and your opponent won no more than 3 or 4 rounds, with the knockdowns.gilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 19:18If you landed only 13 more punches, and got knocked down twice. Right, and in spite of everybody REALLY wishing Fury had put on a Boxing Clinic in the early rounds the reality is he didn't. I have eyes that work just fine.Wa1nuts wrote: ↑05 Dec 2018, 11:28Fights were scored round by round last time I checkedgilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 19:18If you landed only 13 more punches, and got knocked down twice. I personally think the early rounds were very close an in no way was it a robbery
Funny you say that, because I had him winning wide against Wlad.
