HW fights predicitons

Anthony Joshua:

vs Tyson Fury:

AJ's stiff and Fury moves well, but i think that one of the main Fury's advantages vs Wilder was the fact that he was heavier and physically stronger than DW and it's not the case vs Joshua. AJ's more precise than Wilder and he can actaully box and win rounds. I think that Joshua will win by a late stoppage or close on the scorecards (likely with scoring 1 or 2 knockdowns) but very well Fury can outbox him, it's a possibility too.

vs Alexander Povetkin:

We have already seen this fight and in rematch AJ would win much easily.

vs Deontay Wilder:

Wilder is more explosive but Joshua is better all-round boxer. Wilder has advantage in dynamics but Joshua is physically stronger. (Fury-Wilder fight showed that physical strength might be a significant factor in this fight).

AJ proved that he has the ability to adjust to current situation in the ring. Some say that Wilder is more unpredictable but i think that actually AJ is more-dimensional fighter. (in a fight vs Fury, Wilder once again proved that he is one-dimensional and doesn't really have other idea than waiting for a KO punch and doing his windmill attack when his opponent is hurt).

Both have more or less proved chin but in that aspect AJ seems slighty better imo also i think that Wilder is easier to hit - he is more elusive, AJ is rather stiff but he has better guard. Wilder is pretty open, when he turns on his windmill i can see AJ counter him and put on his bum. (Wilder's windmill attack is overrated, he barely lands clean and he couldn't stop Fury).

Wilder is faster, moves faster but AJ moves smarter - footwork is AJs advantage. (But who knows, even 20kg heavier Fury was about as fast as Wilder, if not faster).

So, AJ is technically better and more precise fighter. He throws better more creative combinations from more angles.
Wilder will have slight height and reach advantage but i doubt that it will play significant role as he doesn't really uses it well.

Wilder has also better stamina - but will he pressure AJ enough to tire him? I doubt that. Anyway, stamina is Wilder's advantage.

Wilder has a punchers chances, i can't see him winning on points. He lost rounds to Szpilka or Washington. He got schooled by Fury. AJ can knock him out too but if the fight goes the distance (which is unlikely but possible) AJ will be awarded the decision.
So i think that AJ is a clear favourite.
Wilder's strenght is his explosive right hand. Joshua has more ways to win this fight.

vs Luis Ortiz:

Interesting fight but unfortunately Ortiz is very old now. Ortiz got skills, punches hard but so does the bigger and younger Joshua. Ortiz's superior footwork combined with his good reach and speed will win him some of the early rounds but he will be eventually tire and get stopped, just like vs Wilder.

vs Kubrat Pulev:

Maybe Pulev would win like one or two early rounds with his jab, but it's not enough (and he lacks power) to be competetive vs Joshua. Pulev's chin is not made of granite, the bigger, younger and harder puncher Joshua would stop him relatively quick.

vs Jarrell Miller:

AJ is faster, got better footwork, longer reach, Miller's physical strength wouldn't be important against a giant like AJ, i just can't see Miller getting close enough to trouble Joshua. We have already seen that Miller gets jabbed easily.

vs Dillian Whyte:

We have already seen this fight, they were both very green at this time but i think that the rematch would look similar anyway.

vs Joseph Parker:

We have already seen this fight, to me it seems like Parker lost heart and is not motivated enough anymore to compete at the really highest level. Imo he would get stopped this time, especially with a normal referre in the ring because the Italian was stopping the action all the time with no reason.

vs Adam Kownacki:

Kownacki got a strong chin so he would use his come-forward tactics in the first rounds, but he's got inferior footwork, too short reach, AJ would stop him (probably stop him standing) relatively fast.

Tyson Fury:

vs Alexander Povetkin:

Huge difference in size, Fury moves too well, Povetkin is past it. No way Povetkin wins it at this point imo but anyway i would like to see him trying to get close to Fury in early rounds just like he did vs AJ. Fury would win by a very wide decision.

vs Deontay Wilder:

The rematch would look probably the same: If Fury doesn't get stopped - he wins. Wilder can't really do nothing more than try to caught Fury, if he tries to attack on him with his windmill that barely lands clean, he can get countered. Wilder needs to bulk up before the rematch, i think that physical strength played a significant role in this fight.

vs Luis Ortiz:

Same as vs Wilder, Fury just needs to avoid being knocked out. But unlike Wilder, Ortiz would probably tire late in the fight and wouldn't be much of a danger in the later rounds. Fury by wide UD.

vs Kubrat Pulev:

Pulev lacks reach and Fury moves too well. It would be a boring fight, wide UD by Fury.

vs Jarrell Miller:

Fury will dance around him with and jab, i can't see it as action-packed fight, Miller eats more jabs than burgers. Fury by wide UD.

vs Dillian Whyte:

Dillian would try to brawl but Fury's too big, too fast and too skilled. Fury by wide UD.

vs Joseph Parker:

It would be another boring fight and a wide UD for Fury just because Parker posseses nothing to threat Fury.

vs Adam Kownacki:

Kownacki would come forward all the night and literally eat every jab that Fury throws. Fury by wide UD.

Alexander Povetkin:

vs Deontay Wilder:

Wilder starts slow, he lacks skills, he doesn't have the physical strength advantage, he is so open, i can see, even at this point, a top shape Povetkin to stop Wilder but if he tires he would get knocked out. But i just can't see how Wilder would successfully deal with Povetkin's pressing.

vs Luis Ortiz:

that would be a great fight, both are very skilled, Ortiz got some physical advantages (he's bigger, stronger and has longer reach), both have very good (though different style of) footwork, Povetkin imo throws better and more creative combinations. It would be close on the cards, but one stopping another in late or mid rounds is a distinct possibility as well.

vs Kubrat Pulev:

Povetkin would eat some jabs early, but he would get inside and land some good combinations and stop Pulev.

vs Jarrell Miller:

Povetkin would need to stay out of range, get close and land good combinations, if he tires then Miller's pressure could be enough to stop him, Povetkin at this point is still my favourite but it's a hard to predict fight. Povetkin needs to avoid Miller's bodypunches.

vs Dillian Whyte:

That would be a brutal fight, but Povetkin is much more skilled, and if Chisora fought well vs Whyte for 12 rounds then i can see Povetkin doing this as well and win 116-112 kind of decision.

vs Joseph Parker:

Parker would be a walking punchbag in this fight, Povetkin by UD.

vs Adam Kownacki:

It would like to see how Povetkin deals with Kownacki's pressure, but AK is not a one-punch KO artist so i can't see him stopping Povetkin, UD for the Russian.

Deontay Wilder:

vs Luis Ortiz:

I see their rematch as something unpredictable. Wilder won but Ortiz was so close of stopping him. I don't know what they really can change in their boxing. 51/49 Wilder.

vs Kubrat Pulev:

Pulev is too open, Wilder sooner or later would take him out.

vs Jarrell Miller:

Huge weight difference. Wilder doesn't really know how to stop someone with jab. He's open and Miller would pressure him, if he gets close enough and lands to Wilder's body it would be far from pleasant for Wilder. Miller chin is probably legit, so i can see him keeping on his feet after Wilder's right hand bomb. Styles make fights, and Miller would be a nightmare for Wilder.

vs Dillian Whyte:

Whyte would try to make this fight dirty, Wilder would eventually land and knock him out, i can even see Wilder knocking him out early.

vs Joseph Parker:

It would be a boring fight without much action. Parker could trouble Wilder inside but i can't see him trying much.

vs Adam Kownacki:

Kownacki's pressure would be an issue for Wilder in the first 3-5 rounds but he would eventually land and stop him.

Oleksandr Usyk: It would be interesting to see him vs Miller. I think that Usyk would outbox Wilder, but would eventually gets stopped by AJ. Usyk vs Fury is a fight that i would just LOVE to see.

Filip Hrgović: I can see him already beating the top 6-10 guys, he is the future of the HW.

Luis Ortiz: he beats all the top 6-10 guys, he (and Povetkin) are the old veterans and gatekeepers to the top of the HW division.

mixing up Pulev, Miller, Whyte, Parker, Kownacki and Breazeale could result in giving as some action packed, 50/50 fights. i would like to see Pulev vs Miller, what would win, Pulev's jab or Miller's pressure? it's a hard to predict fight imo. Whyte vs Kownacki would be a war.

He clowns and showboats real well I'll give him that. He stinks out the joint better than most any Heavyweight for sure. He dresses like Batman, and acts like an embarrassment to the sport better than anybody for sure. He becomes a fat f*ck, and pisses away being the Top man in the division better than anybody else. He cites the Bible to justify being a piece of sh*t better than anybody. He's clearly #1 when it comes to being a douche.

I ain't never gonna have too many kind words to say about a guy like him. I don't think much of him as a human being. He's one of only a handful of guys that falls into the category of "Wouldn't even shake that guys hand if I met him" which is pretty bad because I'm usually civil to most anybody, but once my opinion of somebody sinks as low as my opinion of him has there's no turning back.

btw, absolutely agree with dag on the whole wilder 'unpredictable' thing, he is not unpredictable at all, totally bizarre that him of all ppl starting getting that billing so much. hes hugely reliant on the same punch from the same range. the knockouts and knockdowns can come from nowhere , but thats a power thing , its not him having an unpredctiable style or approach to boxing

aj has a much more diverse punch selection and variance in combos. he can also fight inside better.

I agree but Fury has proved he is back and a force to reckoned with, even if he isn't back to his best. There again he said he's better than ever. Maybe I should start taking more notice of what he says because I dismissed his claims that he was ready for Wilder.
