Funny - I love Joyce and think he runs over most of the top 10 - I reckon he’d snap Wilder like a twig* but for some reason I feel Parker has his number style-wise.
I’d have €100 on Parker KO2 at 50/1 if they ever fight

I’d love to see him v anyone but Fury most of all.
He’d stop Tyson doing his ‘elephant -🐘-does-Mayweather’ thing and make him fight. :box:
And who doesn’t wanna see that ? :bag:

Similar size, ranking and skin/hair colour. Both trade on toughness and power but are a little slow and easy to hit.

Not THAT different, Shirley?

I’d like to see him in with someone like Charr in the next 6 months.

You could be describing Miller. Joyce keeps moving, throws plenty, and has a decent chin. And then like Miller, he's heavy enough to come off best in most untidy fights.

I'd like to see him fight Fury, skanks. I think you're right that he'd go downstairs often enough to make it interesting. Fury likes fighting guys he can either keep at distance, or guys who overcommit from distance. Joyce might be neither. I can see him just wheeling forward and working.

Usyk should make him an offer for his first fight at heavyweight. The fight would resemble usyk hitting a heavy bag in the gym.

I’m not sure Usyk would be quite the goregone conclusion everyone thinks. He’d be a heavy betting favourite obviously - but IF Joyce can make adjustments and last the first 6 it could be a very different fight.
Still Joyce would do well to avoid movers and slicksters for as long as possible.

Yes, which actually makes him old Foreman. I think he will do well if he has the chin, but at 33 he has little time to mature into it. A Miller-Joyce fight would be interesting, two immovable objects colliding.

While Usyk would fancy the job, we wouldn't get enough kudos for beating Joyce.
Do better fighting Miller, Chisora, Whyte, Ruiz, all easier fights for him.
Joyce is still fairly unknown in Tooting!

Brilliant. Of course! They have the same hair colour! Yes, this is one of the first things I think of when comparing boxers. A chiselled olympic silver (should be gold) medallist who I don't think has dropped a round since turning pro vs a fat walking punch bag with tits who has suffered multiple knockdowns and hellacious beatings.

Clones. In fact I'm not even sure I've seen them in the same room? Perhaps they're the same person?

He reminds me of a bigger and stronger Big John Tate. Slow and plodding, but thunderous punching power.

I have to disagree Dan.
It would be hard to give Joyce a round in that fight. Usyk schooled him, and Usyk has improved exponentially since then, Joyce- if anything- has got slower :oo

guess it depends on your bar for 'holding your own'

i thought it was a clear 5-0 usyk. joyce came forward and sort of looked game, but was outclassed there imo. never really could muster anything much beyond having usyk looking totally committed to movement as though he understood a risk of a bigger man

After the Stiverne fight, it's pretty clear where Joyce is at.

 Ambiguous was it?
Yeah, umm.. I saw every punch like it was in semi slo motion. Which it was. I saw Joyce get hit with 4 massive flush overhand rights in the second round, from someone other than Stiverne, he would have been out of there, end of.
I saw Joyce fail to quickly put away a guy (recenty KO'ed) who was done by the 2nd round.
Yep, it's clear to me after that fight

People like to shit on Joyce but...

Good amateur
Won a couple titles as a pro
Spends most of his time in California, sometimes training with GGG
:o

Hes had a great career and could still go on to win a secondary world title and / or get a big money fight..
