All those are old-fashioned excuses.

I NEVER buy excuses like this. No matter who says 'em. If you were injured coming into the fight, well....tough sh*t. Maybe you should've called it off.

If you were ready enough to step into the ring. You were ready enough.

I agree 100%. I was sadly shocked and disappointed by this 'disclosure.'

Who knew before now about this? Roach seemed to know something.

It is a matter of fact. He got in the ring like tons of other pros have done. He accepts the results.

There are others that are making excuses for someone, and trashing Wilder for everything and anything.

fghters claim sh!T all the time, may be true or not true, a valid explanation or a made up or highly exaggerated excuse. if it were a break would he not have been seen out with a cast? did he make any public appaeances in this time?

remember when tyson broke his back btw

it was spinal if you remember :oo

I don't know how it could have been kept quiet if it's true.
A sprain or strain, yes. A broken bone that requires x-rays, hospital visits, a cast, an operation for screws and plates? Nah, I don't buy it.

For me whether it's true or not is irrelevant. If you stepped in the ring you were ready to fight. Period.

It really makes no difference now, but if it had come out prior to the fight it would have affected odds and betting and it would have been utilized as an excuse.

I might be upset about now if I had put money on Wilder by stoppage. :OhYes:

I wouldn't because I don't believe it. When a fighter makes an excuse after he didn't win. I don't believe him.

Bullshit because Wilder tried to take Fury out from the very start... I can MAYBE believe him breaking his hand/arm in the 12th from landing so hard on Fury... But it's the words of a defeated man who believes if he tells himself enough lies he'll start believing them.

Pretty easy to confirm or dispel. Doesn’t mean jack to me, although I would be VERY critical of Wilder if he is lying about this.

You should know about those kind of words intimately, Homi. Funny how that only applies to people you oppose, isn’t it? :OhYes:

It's common sense ironbeard... If your hand or arm was broken would you be throwing punches as hard as you could possibly throw? Come on and wake up and smell the coffee.

He is. If he had a broken arm he couldn't have fought a 12 round fight. It don't take a genius to figure that out.

Homi, please. Wilder did not claim that his arm is broken. He claims that it was broken sparring several months ago and they kept it quiet.

How do you know Wilder is lying, Homi? You do NOT know, but that never stops you from making your characteristic baseless claims, or keep you from ignoring the proven lies of those you support, right Homi? :OhYes:

Well then it should've stayed hushed. If he was well enough to step into the ring, he was well enough not to make any excuses. Whether he's telling the truth or not is irrelevant. He stepped in the ring, he was ready to fight.

Frankly if it is true I don't know that it's smart to reveal. What's to stop a guy from pulling a Tyson/Botha on his ass, and twisting that arm a little in a clinch the next time they're in the ring with him. I'd do it. You tell me your weakness, and I'll take advantage.

For fighting suffer from bad hands, I don't want to hear it. If he was well enough to get in the ring it's not an excuse

I was a huge Wilder supporter. My "fancard" is quite diminished after hearing this bullshit.
