I don’t think Hearn or Joshua will care one way or the other about Saturday’s result. Neither Fury nor Wilder looked particularly threatening (in fact, personally I think their stock has lowered somewhat rather than increased - it didn’t come across as a fight between 2 elite guys, just 2 above average heavies), and most casuals won’t even have seen it.
I think Wilder's stock has fallen significantly. He showed he has no defence and Fury was hitting fairly cleanly but Fury wouldn't be the most powerful puncher. I now think that Wilder is avoiding AJ because he knows he has his number and AJ could very well have Wilder in trouble with those shots Fury got through.
Fury showed he still has it despite the lay off, he looked decent. He is the harder fight for AJ.
Yeah definitely agree. Fury is by far the harder fight for Joshua, although Wilder is perhaps the riskier fight simply because of his power.
