Hearn (Barry) says no to 50/50 split AJ/Fury

Post by rhino222 »

Personally, based on pure box office attraction and belts held, i feel that Hearn may well be right, It is however a close thing.

I feel that the fight purse should be 60/40 in AJ's favour but the PPV sales should be 50/50 between both teams.

Agree?

No surprise. Formally the 50-50 split can't be done due to Joshua's better resume and accomplishments on paper. I doubt though, that it would stop The Gypsy King to sign up, he's not bragging type of negotiator like Wilder is. 60-40 is fine indeed.

Fury will earn much more taking the 40% than he did against Wilder

i feel the PPV buys would be huge for that one. Maybe fury would be happy with 70/30 purse plus 50/50 PPV. at least with tyson its not all about the greenbacks.

Yeah for the money, clearly AJ brings the £££' but we all know Fury has seen his worth increase in the last week, but sure AJ still brings a bit more to the table. Take 60-40 as a split, then take his titles, his "0" and know he would hand over the extra cash he earned to have his stature back.

Their resumés and accomplishments are pretty similar on paper.

If Joshua deserves more it's because he brings more money and not because he has accomplished more in the ring.

Fury isn’t bothered about money. He’ll take the fight.

He said fück BT and Sky fighting over the rights. He’d fight AJ on BBC!

Greedy bastids surely Aj will make more on 50% from fighting these than he would from fighting Whyte or maybe even chisora for 70% of the purse

How much money do they need? I understand it's a business but it's a joke. If Aj is so humble whys he so bothered about getting more money

Just get the fight made. Barry Hearn is an utter wanker.

AJ/Fury makes more sense than AJ/Wilder.

In fairness to Fury he has never been greedy with the money.
Relatively he took Klit and Wilder for chump change. A few million for each fight is more than enough for him.
AJ turned down 50 million for the Wilder fight.

I agree with 60/40 in either case. Wilder represents bigger $$$ than Fury overall though, imo.

Wilder took a guaranteed $4mill plus ppv bonus. Apparently sold 275k in the US.

Not sure how that qualifies him for a 50:50 share. Whatever matchroom offer it'll probably be a shit load more than he's been paid before.

Take it at 60/40 then 👍

They're getting beat anyway

They were wrong pre wilder-fury, Hearn talking like an absolute mongoo all round the place, an whatever way he's come up with his boy beating Tyson, he'll be wrong again

If I am Tyson, I take the 40% I'd probably even take 35% because he knows that he beats AJ(which I think he does) and then he has a rematch with AJ as the A side, before settling the wilder dispute over here as the twice unified world champion, wilder will have to travel here to face the rematch and fury would be walking away with 30m plus in his pocket if he wins all 3 fights.

According to the Hearns, Joshua turned down $50m to fight Wilder.
Are they working on Fury excuses already?

Fury Wilder will make great money fighting a rematch in Vegas. Who knows maybe even a trilogy is on the cards.

Leave Robo-J to bowling over 40+ year old tomata cans in front of piss heads at Wembley. Someone else will probably beat him soon anyway.

Well he's only fought 1 fighter in the weight category since becoming champ and he was no tomato can. You like in an autistic dreamworld

Side note: Fought several 38 - 39 year olds, including in stadium fights

Fury should get 50% after all he is the reason Joshua has the belts,if Fury never dethroned Klitschko how long would it have took for Joshua to get a title shot and also would he of won in Germany cause it wouldnt of been at wembley. After Fury's last fight his stock has risen massively on both sides of the atlantic so give the guy 50%. Personally i dont think Joshua wants any part of the gypsy king and the Hearns will price themselves right out of this fight
