shelly said wilder wants aj
fury-wilder 2 could still happen if not next. the draw builds in a rematch even if they both take an l to aj

The rematch would be rightly very popular but in terms of risk v reward Wilder could make more money fighting Dillian Whyte never mind AJ.
As much as I fully understand what Eddie is saying about who is bringing the value to a Wilder v Joshua fight, and how Wilder cannot compete in financial terms, the point is does it really matter?
Yes maybe Wilder only deserves 30% or whatever, if you look at it purely in financial terms, but the point is that Eddie and AJ can afford to be generous if they want to be. If they really want the fight and the last belt, then why not pay Wilder a lot more than he deserves, they can afford it? Joshua is set for life, hell his grandkids are probably set for life, so does it really matter if Wilder gets a bigger percentage than logic would suggest is his due?
it is the fight all of boxing wants to see. It will generate enormous revenue for both fighters. Get it on !

I can't contradict you on that one.

Wasn't Eddeh flying to the US yesterday to sit down with a bloke with a shelias name?
Bit of a waste of his time really.
Wilders team seem to do everything over twatter don't they?

What on earth have you read in the article you've quoted that compels you to make this claim?dickbelden wrote: ↑04 Dec 2018, 01:23THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
The article that you quoted contains no new information relating to the possibility of the Wilder-Fury rematch that we weren't already told during the post-fight interviews.
The terms of the rematch hasn’t been negotiated, such as fight-purses, the venue, the date, the TV networks etc.
The WBC haven’t sanctioned the rematch and Wilder already has a mandatory challenger.
Team Fury and Team Wilder have both been very non-committal and vague about the possibility of the rematch happening immediately. The carefully-selected language they've both used suggests the rematch will inevitably happen, but probably not next.
Based on what I’ve seen in the various TV interviews, both Fury and Wilder would actually prefer to face Anthony Joshua next, rather than engage in an immediate rematch, since it offers both men a much bigger payday.
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
AJ deserves 30%....not Wilder
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
He's right you know. I mean a guy who pulls £20m per fight, can and has filled the biggest stadia in the UK, why would you give a, bloke like that 30%? Give him 20% I say

Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
Even though AJ is the better boxer does anyone think it is kind of likely that Wilder could become unified heavyweight champion given his phenomenal punching power he nearly finished Fury who is already a more defensive fighter than AJ.
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
Yes, he “could,” and that is why I think AJ will go with Fury.guysecretan wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 10:44 Even though AJ is the better boxer does anyone think it is kind of likely that Wilder could become unified heavyweight champion given his phenomenal punching power he nearly finished Fury who is already a more defensive fighter than AJ.

If Joshua is dropped by Wilder, he'll be finished with the windmill. Wilder always windmills down fighters rocked by him. He failed it against only one opponent - Tyson Fury. Wilder looked exposed, when he jumped at Fury with the try of the windmill finishing, but he'll succeed against AJ in it, if he has such opportunity, cause Joshua far from being even close in slickness to The Gypsy King.guysecretan wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 10:44 Even though AJ is the better boxer does anyone think it is kind of likely that Wilder could become unified heavyweight champion given his phenomenal punching power he nearly finished Fury who is already a more defensive fighter than AJ.
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
well on the other hand he dropped molina early yet couldnt finish him till the 9th, dropped ortiz but only finished 5 rounds later after being in big trouble himself, had stiverne hurt early in first fight and windmilled but went 12, and got a bit hurt himself shortly after dropping fury in the 12thDrDuke wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 11:05If Joshua is dropped by Wilder, he'll be finished with the windmill. josh has gotten up to win before too, no idea why ppl would think hes defo finished if wilder hurts him
aj can get to wilder first too, hes a very hard hitter himself, unlike fury. furys lack of fight ending power means he pretty much must survive all 12 , but aj doesnt need to
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
Fury is much slicker but he doesn't carry the firepower of Anthony Joshua. Wilder could knockout Joshua no doubt, but AJ also has enough power to stop Wilder so it becomes a question of who can impose his power on the other guy and who can do it first.
There's little that's certain in heavyweight boxing but if you force me to bet I'm going for the man with the superior technique. People are asking what happens when Wilder lands on Joshua's chin and it's a fair question, but they don't seem to asking what Joshua is likely to doing while we're waiting.

Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
Wilder has taken the bigger risks, taking in the top two in division and willing to fight all the top guys calling out coward AJ..
And all this "he sells out soccer stadiums" is laughable.. everyone knows a 15,000 seater in Vegas generates more money than any soccer stadium can...
If AJ fought in America vs anyone but Wilder it would be a tremendous failure....
He'll probably get A side money cuz Wilder wants the big fights and will take lesser dough....
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
lol no way was ortiz top 2
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
Who's better? AJ? Maybe...there's a reason no heavy weight wants to fight him .... Including AJ...lol
Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
lol where did your 'recent accomplishments' suddenly go
ya aj is better.....bigger, much younger, faster, and can actually fight above one glacial pace.. he hits very hard too, no way would scott go 12 or kauffman 10

My comments above preceded "cs:"Duran1970 wrote: ↑06 Dec 2018, 19:21Wilder has taken the bigger risks, taking in the top two in division and willing to fight all the top guys calling out coward AJ..
cs: Wilder has been a pro for ten years, had forty plus fights, made eight defences and fought two - maybe three if you count the first Stiverne fight - opponents of any real quality. Joshua has had just over 20 fights beating top fighters in Klitschko, Parker, Povetkin, Whyte, Breazeale and would have been Pulev but he pulled out, so Takam.
cs: Deontay did well to beat Ortiz and almost ko Fury, but I'm sure both were seen by his team as big name opponents at the right time, who hopefully wouldn't give him too much trouble. Wilder has made just one mandatory and that over an opponent who was by then a joke.
cs: I'm sorry but if you think Joshua is a coward you are being ridiculous. Even now this 50 million bullshit won't go away even though Fwank W admitted the money was coming from BT Sport. He/they knew full well there never a possibility of having to stump up because Joshua is under contract to Sky and cannot legally fight for BT.
And all this "he sells out soccer stadiums" is laughable.. everyone knows a 15,000 seater in Vegas generates more money than any soccer stadium can...
cs: So how does Wilder end up making less money for fighting Fury in America than Hearn offered him (and I'm talking the laughable flat-fee not the latest undisclosed percentage offer which has to be an improvement) for a fight in England ?
If AJ fought in America vs anyone but Wilder it would be a tremendous failure....
cs: I guess you mean in terms of financial return? Well yes there's little doubt a Miller defence in the UK would generate greater profit but that's not the purpose of the exercise. He wants to fight in America at some point. Miller in NYC would make sense in terms of exposure. You gotta speculate to accumulate as it were.
He'll probably get A side money cuz Wilder wants the big fights and will take lesser dough....
cs: I hope you're right or that Hearn / Joshua make him an offer he can't refuse. They can afford to for sure. I think at 33 team Wilder realize he's in the home stretch and now is the time to take risks and earn big money to set him up for retirement. Let's not kid ourselves that's how it's always been though.

Top fighters????
A finished Klitschko
Parker Povetkin Whyte brazeale ??????
Hahahahaha...c'mon...you might want to retract that statement..
There's the top guys (Wilder AJ fury Ortiz)
And then there's the rest of em......stiffs
Stop defending your bloke..he had a chance to fight Wilder and he bailed...spin it anyway you want but facts are facts...even his own countryman called him out on it..and fury was 100% right

It should be an immediate rematch.
Joshua is locked out for April, so the two of them should rematch each other in the meantime.

Re: THE LATEST:sounds like FURY vs WILDER 2 is next ! both seem to want it !
I wouldn't take too much notice of what Fury says about Joshua. He's green with envy at the adulation and the money Joshua has enjoyed since Fury has been ... ahem ... indisposed. He feels that ought to be his and his disrespecting Joshua is resentment pure and simple. It probably doesn't help that he knows he would be far better off signing with Hearn but he's loyal and he's Fwank's man and Fwank's attitude to Hearn is way more hate filled than is Fury's toward Joshua. It is what it is. Fury is human. I don't really blame him.Duran1970 wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 11:02 Top fighters????

Joshua definitely wants all the belts but he wants the lion's share of the dosh. It's hard to argue that he brings a huge amount to the table, but I think it's a pride thing because in terms of Joshua's future spending power it really isn't going to have too dramatic an effect whether Wilder takes 25% or even 75%.
Ortiz is a good fighter but he's officially 39 but might be nearer 50. I'm not going to discredit Wilder's win because I'd been calling for him to face Ortiz for a very long time and I never really thought he would, so credit to him for that. Ortiz remains one of the best around but he is now severely hampered by lack of stamina in my opinion.. He will either spark out Joe Joyce early or he'll get stopped late. Mark my words.
Povetkin too was past his best when Joshua beat him (thankfully for Joshua) but if it had been Wilder who knocked him out this year instead of Joshua, then he'd have been on your top guys list instead of the stiffs.
Same goes if Wilder had taken Parker's WBO belt. Don't deny it; you know it's true.
