These split conversations are so boring in boxing.
People go mad for it on twitter too about who deserves what and why, I don’t get it?
I really don’t care who’s getting what, just sign the fights!
There are loads of weirdos online who seem to live vicariously through boxers, it's the same on here. You'd think they'd been in the ring themselves at times.
There is honest appraisal and flippant nonsense. Both have a place on here and in the sport. The sport descended that way a long time ago.
I am sure there are many that have participated in the sport to one level or another. But it's a forum with everyone imagining what it might be like to be fighting at world title level and having opinions.
I don’t get the folks asking why fans talk about money, like it or not boxing and money are inextricably linked, it’s a business, and to get to a fight you need negotiation. why shouldn’t fans talk about this stage of the process. It’s not like other sports where the schedules are set and the athletes turn up and perform and we all just talk about the performances.
It's the absolute certainty of the progress of the negotiations and how they should be taking place that makes me laugh.
That and people being cheerleaders for millionaire promoters who couldn't give a shiny shite about them.
While we’re on this subject, what about Fury vs Wilder and Frampton vs Warrington. We were told, the fights are on, details to follow. And that was that. Cool.
