Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
ESPN reports: "The WBC, which sanctions Wilder’s title, plans to order an immediate rematch, according to a source with knowledge of the sanctioning body’s plans. The WBC board of governors is in the process of voting on the proposal and ordering a direct rematch has near-unanimous support, according to the source."
Re: Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
Wilder says: "he will try to gain a significant amount of weight, with a goal of 245 pounds after he came in at 209 on Saturday. He's open to fighting Fury anywhere, even in Britain, though his preferences would be Las Vegas or Barclays Center in New York."

Hopefully those sources are legit. Makes sense for all involved, with the exception of possibly Fury.

would more europeans attend the rematch @ barclays or vegas ?
Re: Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
Wilder needs to nut up and go try to finish the job in a stadium in London. Money is better. Atmoshere is better. US would still buy it.

probably will b in USA since that is the only place where they can get $75 for each PPV buy. also, the 2 highest live gates were in vegas---1. floyd vs manny 2. floyd vs conor(the USA PPV for both of those fights was $100).

You make good points. I hope that they take it to London. I might even show up for that. Probably do Vegas too, tbh.

I love London. I am a short flight from my western US properties to Vegas. I have spent a very large amount of time in Vegas over the decades. I am always looking for an excuse (other than biz) to visit London.

That would be a REALLY stupid idea. His speed is essential to him catching Tyson. I'd agree he needs to put on SOME weight, but not anywhere near that much.oogiebe wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 12:04 Wilder says: "he will try to gain a significant amount of weight, with a goal of 245 pounds after he came in at 209 on Saturday. 225 or so would be fine. If he comes in at 245 or something he's making a big mistake.
Re: Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
He can't get to 245 without PED's, and even then I can't imagine he would be able to pack on the pounds like that. IMHO. 225 - 230 would be fantastic.gilgamesh wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 18:16That would be a REALLY stupid idea. His speed is essential to him catching Tyson. Re: Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
honestly wilders issuses seemed to have nothing to do with weight, being heavier isnt going to make him pull the trigger better or deal with the movement better. its unlikely to improve his stamina either.
im not sure if 212 was ideal but 245 for him would be getting into flabby territory probably

Re: Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
Guys fighting Fury need to just attack him harder. Fury ain't much of a hitter. Who gives a sh*t he's big. He punches like a Light Heavyweight at best. Guys needs to attack him more aggressively.jamamb wrote: ↑07 Dec 2018, 18:19 honestly wilders issuses seemed to have nothing to do with weight, being heavier isnt going to make him pull the trigger better or deal with the movement better. its unlikely to improve his stamina either.

Re: Fury/Wilder: WBC to order immediate rematch
If Wilder is even sniffing 245 he’s getting knocked out. Despite his height, he isn’t a big guy and his frame can’t support that much weight. He’d be gasping for air by the fifth round if he comes in over 230.
His weight didn’t hold him back at all in this fight. This is all just to drum up interest in the next fight.

Old Trafford would be great. Just amazing. Never had boxing before but fury would sell it out with a doubt.
Saying Fury hits like a light-heavy at best is a proper thick statement. Absolutely Ridiculous.
Wilder fought regulary at a tad under 230 so him bulking up to 240 something wouldn't take that an effort.
To suggest he may need or even consider taking peds is just plain stupid. He's a dumb motherfucker but not that dumb.
guess he really wanted to come in as quick & agile as possibly to keep up with the gypsy king's speed. Clearly was the wrong approach.
Not that it will make any difference as fury will 100% fornicate wilder up for good in a rematch.
A more massive bronze bomber would get outboxed even more decisively.
Would like to see it but still doubt wilder really want's a second fight. he knows in a fairly judged rematch without the corrupt backup he can again do nothing but look stupid and desperately try to land the big right hand.
And guaranteed fury won't fight again as hesitant & at times just plain careless as he did the first time. Wilder was begging to get knocked out for the second half of the fight, fury will put him away this time.
Long live the gyppo king!!!
