It sucks being a boxing fan this day and age. The talent and competitive fights are few and far between. Still a huge fan of the sport so I find myself combing the internet for fights I haven’t seen before. I think of it as watching a movie I haven’t seen. thank god for dailymotion and youtube, can actually watch fights from the past to see real warriors . Reason being is nobody knew back then that they were sacrificing their bodies in their youth that’s going to kill them young Some of those bras from the 80s 90s we will never see them again. sanctioning bodies and referees aren’t going to allow guys to suffered brain damage. A lot of those fights back in the day would’ve been stopped if they went down today. Just stinks that a lot of the fights of the year aren’t available. While searching for decent fights I decided to watch a hector macho Camacho fight. I was like 6 years old when he was in his prime so I don’t remember if his fights were good to watch. That guy had skills, speed and a surprisingly decent chin. He had a leg up on all the other guys that had skill and speed yet faught like his chin was Khanesque! That stupid jab that basically was there to put the guy he was fighting to sleep. I was getting so annoyed watching it that I had to stop It. It was one of those fights that it said there was a decent ending but I just couldn’t take it. That dude could’ve been murking guys if he would’ve just faught offensively. Anyways got me to thinking about guys that are annoying as fornicate to watch either because they were like the "macho man" or just didn’t care enough to be great. Actually another one is they just weren’t able to continue because of other circumstances. I was going to try to explain what’s annoying about each fighter but if you’re in this forum reading this topic you probably know whether it was their fighting style, lack of motivation, or unwilling retirement. Camacho leads this list for me.
(1) Dmitri Pirog ( that masterpiece against Jacobs was so fun to watch and then to here Lampley and the other HBO people tap dance as to why everyone should watch Jacob’s next fight was hilarious. Jacobs did bounce back and got a fight with a Golovkin but only because Pirog was forced to retire)
(2) Panchito Bojado ( yeah the fact he couldn’t put the cake down was the main reason but i’m sick of people always saying it was bad management of him. The only people that say bad management matchmaking are media people. It was not too soon in his first fight he ran out of gas and got discouraged and lost a close fight. The other two were the same. I don’t know why managing wouldn’t tell him that fans don’t give a shit about losses if you’re entertaining and he was entertaining. Ward/Gatti?
(3) G-man ( unbelievable fighter but he was sort of a horrible human being)
(4) Frankie Gomez
(5) Adrien Broner ( dude is an idiot and nowhere near as good as he thinks but when he’s not shaking his head no and actually punching in exchanges he’s fun to watch)
(6) Terrence Crawford (yes he’s a P4P the only people that enjoy him are from Omaha. There is one of him fighting back in the day when he had dreadlocks that was pretty entertaining but all his fights on YouTube or online at all boring as hell. Gifted fighter horrible performer)
(7) Andre ward. ( if someone knows the fight that’s worth watching of his please let me know)
First post on here. At least Lomachenko is fighting tomorrow night! If anyone has any suggestions as to fighters that are technicians or entertaining to watch please share your fav’s. I mean names that aren’t wellknown. So not the names that pop up searching Bing or Google for popular.

Camacho was offensive until Rosario rang his bell. Odd you find Crawford boring and look forward to lomachenko. Jesse Burnett was a really good fighter with a near 500 record. Properly managed he could have been great.

OMG! Jesse Burnett! He fought so many all time greats: Victor Galindez; John Conteh; Eddie Mustafa Muhammed; Lonnie Bennett; Yagui Lopez; didn't always win but was MOSTLY in every fight.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑09 Dec 2018, 11:21 Camacho was offensive until Rosario rang his bell. He got robbed frequently.
Re: The most annoying fighters vs enjoyable fighters
You can sure make a case for that. Seems he fought near every month and against top talent. Perhaps with a bit better management/promotion his career may have been more successful. I used to get Boxing Illustrated and he was in every issue as I remember! Brought back memories, you did.

Crawford is great to watch in my view. Very intelligent, well rounded and more often than not is content to finish his guy and put on a show. People didn't like the Postol fight and I get it but there's something great about watching a master boxer who usually isn't content to just coast to UD12's.
I agree on Andre Ward. There's something that just rubs me the wrong way in that he had excellent physical and technical tools and still chose to just make every fight ugly simply because he was enabled and got away with everything. Why wrestle, grapple and hold when you can box and move at least?
