Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
I can see that wanker Khan taking the fight now after that shocker from Brook last night. He'll smell blood. Brook was the worst I've ever seen him. I thought he was getting stopped a few times and was surprised he didn't. If he was in with a puncher he'd have been KO'd. Going by last nights showing Brook is shot...
Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
Something like that , whatever he got paid was too much imoRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑09 Dec 2018, 09:50Everything about last night was shït. I wouldn’t want to perform in sheffield again after that too. Crowd was non existant. Worst Matchroom card this year. Seen better NXTGEN cards.
There was no need for this show. What you reckon Kell get’s paid for this? £200k?

Ha, thanks chaps. I take it Wembley is the one they can pack 70-80K into and not the O2Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑09 Dec 2018, 09:48Take it easy. He ain’t from the UK.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑09 Dec 2018, 08:44They may fit 80k in the o2 if they expand it by like 400%![]()

If Sky can flog Bellew v Haye twice on PPV they won't have much trouble polishing this turd if it ever happens.

Yeh. Thing with Bellew-Haye.. the beef started and within a year they had their first fight. We didn’t have to wait long for both fights. The Khan-Brook shît has been going on for 9 years.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑09 Dec 2018, 18:09I'm not too sure, I'd have bought it a few years ago, not interested nowpunchers chance wrote: ↑09 Dec 2018, 18:04If Sky can flog Bellew v Haye twice on PPV they won't have much trouble polishing this poop if it ever happens.

Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
At this stage I think Brook takes it despite his mediocre performance. I just think he still takes a better shot and Khan at some point decides to stand and trade.
Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
After last night's performance by Brook, I personally feel this fight (if it ever happens) is past sell by date.
I would loved to see these two fight a few years ago, but now I feel they are husks of what they were.
The title of this thread- Who Has More in the Tank - is apt, because one of the poll options in hindsight should have been - neither.
What could have been one of the best all British fights of this decade is now going to end up with one guy as fragile as glass, and the other gassed and fatigued. Not what I would ever pay to see.

Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
Also I think Khan has bigger fights out there for his finale, Brook not so much.
Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
I agree. He seems to still be in demand. The funny thing is, Eddie said he would get pretty much double IR fighting Brook than he has been offered for Crawford
He probabky figures he can fight Brook after he loses to Crawford anyway, picking up two very decent paydays

Yeh: I thought this. Brook’s now saying ‘don’t come crawling to me when you lose to Crawford’.. truth is, Brook will still be chasing the fight.. he’s the most desperate fighter out there.KiwiRider wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 05:08I agree. That's how I see it boys. Brook only wants this fight he sees it as his big pay day before he retires. Khans got options and when he finally wants to give Brook his payday brook will still be there no doubt about itRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 06:52Yeh: I thought this. Yes, Brook’s comments that he won’t be waiting around for Khan if he fights Crawford really made me chuckle...KiwiRider wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 05:08I agree. He seems to still be in demand. Yeh. He’s literally waited 9 years. It’s probably gonna happen in the next year or so.. even if Brook decides to retire and 2 years later Khan calls him up.. Brook will be in the ring the next day ready to fight.chinarich wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 08:04Yes, Brook’s comments that he won’t be waiting around for Khan if he fights Crawford really made me chuckle...KiwiRider wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 05:08I agree. Hearn has now offered Khan £8m flat fee to take the Brook fight next and as long the revenue of the fight reaches more than £7m, he’ll get a % of the PPV and Gate.

Why is Khan so reluctant to take this fight. He has options such as getting knocked out by Crawford, but nothing is paying him like this fight is.
I've been critical of Brook in the past, but would like to see this fight even with them both appearing past their best.

It’s al business. Had Arum not offered Khan he probably would have took the Brook fight now.. but a loss to Crawford doesn’t hurt Khan now than it would if he lost to Brook now.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 10:38 Why is Khan so reluctant to take this fight. I've never really been that bothered/interested by the fight. Watching Brook chase relentlessly after Khan like some long lost lover has been boorish to watch aswell.

Khan can't afford a loss to Brook after slagging him off for years and is playing with Brook like a cat with an injured mouse.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 10:38 Why is Khan so reluctant to take this fight. Re: Who has More Left in the Tank? Amir Khan or Kell Brook?
I think that comparing Khan vs Brook and Haye vs Bellew is a bit far fetched. Lets be honest, as shit as Di Mori and the other guy were..... read the posts on here. There was not many saying Haye was shot, he'd still only had 1 Heavyweight defeat at that stage. As bad as they were, Haye, even though he looked overweight, hardly put a foot wrong.... people were even calling him a geniune threat to Joshua.
Bellew also, was in the form of his life as a world champion, Again, nobody thought he was shot. However, nobody gave him a shout and I honestly think people bought the first PPV as much as anything to see how Haye looked against his first live(ish) opponent and to make their first true Haye vs Joshua analysis.
Haye vs Bellew 2 sold mainly again because some thought Haye could still possibly do something but also because of the rivalary between the pair in fight 1.
BOTH Khan and Brook though have had heavy defeats and aren't showing their best form of late..... was Crolla vs Burns a PPV, this is a similar fight IMO. Both Khan and Brook have now had 1 really poor performance in the build up against opposition they should be outclassing.

I was only comparing the time it took for their beef to start until their first bell rang. It was all within a year. Neither had tune ups etc or meaningless fights in between. They got in with.stujones wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 19:26 I think that comparing Khan vs Brook and Haye vs Bellew is a bit far fetched. Obviously both Khan and Brook have had defeats since they started their ‘beef’.. so yeh. You’re right. It’s like Burns vs. Crolla at this rate.

Brook really looks shot to shít! I couldn't believe how bad he was at the weekend!
