Especially given last night’s performance, stacked in top of the Linares fight, I cannot understand why Mikey has chosen Spence over Loma, unless it was just impossible to make.

The Garcias must see something exploitable in Spence, or at least have convinced themselves they see it.

Spence ignores incoming at times. Maybe they think that Mikey can control him with the jab, and catch him repeatedly wading in.

Mickey got a good shot, Spence is great and all, but then again so is Mickey. Who is a bit more skilled then Spence, so I'm going with Mickey on this one.

Mikey doesn't have power to hurt Spence. His only hope is a lot movement and not letting Errol to land. I doubt he will be able to do that for 12 rounds.

Whoever knows the answer, the question would then be: is the purse appreciably more than he would probably earn fighting Lomachenko?

Garcia can lose his "0" fighting Spence but it won't harm his reputation because of the size and weight difference. He really has nothing substantial to lose. Fighting a budding P4P champion in Spence actually increases the respect fight fans have for Mikey.

But a loss to Lomachenko would hurt Garcia in the public's eye since the 2 are physical equals. And very probably he doesn't earn as much. Spence-Garcia has the curiosity factor, because of that size difference. I think it would outdraw a bout with Lomachenko.

You have to admire Mikey but I can't see how he beats Spence. It's a tall order for a big Welterweight.
