Hypothetically....
Hypothetically....
If uncle Fwank stuck the Fury/Wilder rematch at Old Trafford on the same date as AJ @ Wembley how would you see it going?
I watched a podcast recently and apparently there's a rumour doing the rounds that Fwanks gonna do that! Can't see it personally but it made me think....

Re: Hypothetically....

I honestly don’t know but I’m intrigued to find out. Surely more people will be interested in Wilder/Fury with what’s happened in the past few years?
Especially if Whyte faces AJ. As much as I reckon Whyte deserves it, the fans don’t wanna see it!

Businesswise that would be a retarded move.

Stupid move, just taking money out of the pockets of all the fighters involved.
Re: Hypothetically....
Hearn has just done it to Frampton and allegedly though so fairs fair? Usually I wouldn't like to see this type of thing but because Hearn has tried to stick it to allegedly and Frampton twice now I'd like to see him get his comeuppance.Nightmare Roy wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 21:08 Stupid move, just taking money out of the pockets of all the fighters involved.
Re: Hypothetically....
Not really. They'll still make money and sell out the stadium I'd imagine, I just want to see Hearn get a wake up call.
The reason for the thread was, just to see who everyone thinks would make more and how they'd see it going in terms of tickets and PPV. If the casuals/public would take to Fury etc....
Re: Hypothetically....
lol watch aj still out do a rematch in the uk even were he to fight the whyte-chsora loser

Re: Hypothetically....
he wouldnt, i was just being hypothetical to stick with the thread
'even if'
'even if'
Re: Hypothetically....
You think AJ v a generic bum would still out sell a Wilder Fury rematch? Usually I'd agree but I think if Fury was on the ball and selling the fight with his antics it would be close. Maybe Wilder Fury would do more buys? God knows
Re: Hypothetically....
I hope bunny does this and hope wembley flops cause hearn and AJ are takin us real boxing fans for mugs, wilder vs fury beats AJ vs Whyte all day every day
Re: Hypothetically....
Warren won't do it - but he fvcking should since Hearn did it with Whyte Del 2.
I really fvcking hate Hearn, guy is a silver spoon snidey cûnt who's success is built on simply being a yes man for Sky; at a time were Sky needed something to sell with the loss of so many rights.
Booking Wembley without an opponent is such a duck move too.
The great thing about Fury is that the casuals are really taking to him. He's a far greater self-promoter than AJ. He's genuinely funny, unpredictable, good talker and now he has a genuine backstory to sell (battled back from depression, etc). Throw into the mix that so many casuals now think he's a master-boxer (seems to make them they know the sport better by overrating Furys boxing ability) then you have nearly all the ingredients of a bigger draw than the boring "humble" shīt AJ is selling. Infact, if Fury could punch it wouldn't even be a thing.
The draw must have sickened Hearn - i think he knows how big the rematch will be. The winner will be the biggest draw in the sport, period.

Re: Hypothetically....
Man U at home to West Ham on the day that AJ fights at Wembley again. So if Fwank does try to go head to head, it won’t take place at Old Trafford!
Re: Hypothetically....
Don't you know? It's just fun banter when Eddie does it, but stupid and bad business if warren returns the favour.Stuarty wrote: ↑10 Dec 2018, 21:27Hearn has just done it to Frampton and allegedly though so fairs fair? Re: Hypothetically....
Well seeing as United will be playing West ham on 13th April, this rumour has no legs what so ever.
So that would leave Frank second guessing a potential September fight for AJ, and again it would depend on fixture list.
Using team stadiums really has to be between may & July and not much later as teams get fussy over the pitch.

Re: Hypothetically....
IT would obv have an impact on the shows and I think FW is too money focused to do it.
I think Hearn, as he did with the Frampton show would be more likely to do it as for him it is not just about money, he has always had it, it's about ego too.

Is there a realistic chance of a rematch happening in England?
