Usyk is a notorious slow starter. Many had Michael Hunter taking the first 4 rounds against him.
David Haye was well past his best when he won 4 out of the first 5 rounds against Bellew.

seems as though the fight is agreed at 147. 10lbs rehydration clause, but i expect the check weigh in to be on the morning of the fight (10am).......giving brook 12 more hours to 'refuel'.

Desperation from Brook if he agrees to any rehydration clause. He looked awful last time out at 154 ffs! This could well be both guys last fight if it comes off.

If they try and put this in a stadium it will bomb spectacularly.

Yeah probably mate. Manchester would be the sensible option. Personally I've lost interest in it almost completely now.

I mean it's not really like it ever would've been a fight between the 2 top guys in their weight class even at the best of times. It's still a true grudge match which it always has been, but obviously the deterioration of each fighters skill with time makes it less intriguing all the time.

Still a fight that we all would like to see. Both past their best but still have something ( pound note) and genuine talent.. Good luck to them.

Khan is going back to Virgil Hunter, this is a big mistake IMO. I'd much prefer it if he stuck with Goosen, as someone once told me "He may dress like an absolute twat, but he knows his stuff".

I doubt id even pay for it now tbh. It would need a strong undercard to sway me.

Eddie will have to put a decent undercard on if he wants this to sell

It’s nowhere near a big enough fight anymore for Wembley or the Millennium.

Hearn agrees.. He said O2 or MEN.. Manchester makes most sense to me as fans won't have to travel too far.

Let’s be fair Brook takes this fight regardless.
Wouldn’t be surprised to see the fight ending up in Bolton with Haroon, Saj and Senor Machete from Spain as the judges.

Amir Khan Still Torn Between Crawford and Brook, Says Hearn

According to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom, former world champion Amir Khan is still mulling his direction for 2019.

The Bolton boxer has two offers sitting on the table.

He can face his domestic rival and fellow former world champion Kell Brook in the coming months, or he can accept a guarantee of $5 million to fight WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford on March 23 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Hearn is very eager to make the fight between Khan and Brook, and says the ball is now in Khan's court.

“It’s whether he fights Crawford or Brook, and it could go either way. I think he is torn, really. He wants to fight Brook, but he loves the opportunity to fight Crawford in America," Hearn told IFL TV.

We spoke on the phone, it’s a tough one. You’ve got the lure of Crawford, one of the pound-for-pound best, and you’ve got one of the biggest British fights in history against Brook. If he doesn’t fight Brook, people in this country will always say: ‘You ducked Kell Brook.’ If he doesn’t fight Crawford, nobody is gonna say anything. No one is gonna go: ‘Argh, you ducked Crawford.’”

“I think he should fight Kell Brook. He must look at the Brook fight against Zerafa and go: ‘I can beat Kell Brook, I can stop him.’ Amir believes he will knock out Kell Brook. It would kill him to lose to Kell Brook, and vice versa. But that’s what makes it such a big fight, that what makes it have so much on the line: the fear of losing to this bloke you can’t stand.”

Khan fought twice this year.. Brook never fought.

Brook chased Khan, and made £0.. Khan fought Crawford and in Saudi and made £10m+..

Brook wants just big fights, who knows if he can motivate himself for a keepy busy fight. He looked awful agaisnt Zerafa. Didn't listen to Fawkes at all in the corner. He is now back with Dom..

What's everyone's update on this.

Amir Khan's career is now boring and Kell Brook is fast becoming irrelevant.

It doesn't really matter whom has the most left in their respective tank as neither is no longer a major player in their divisions and any proposed bout between the two of them ceased to be of any significance about 4 years ago.

We'll all get drawn in come fight time. I enjoyed Larry Holmes' rematches with Bonecrusher and Weaver, so this is Leonard/Hearns I by comparison.
