Eddie Hearn confirmed that the $50m offer was genuine.
Barry Hearn tweeted about Joshua turning down $50m.
It was the biggest duck in boxing history.
Wilde didn't accept offers from Hearn.
Because the other guy was being greedy with the purse split?
Wilder also refuses to fight his number one contender.

It wasn’t a duck. A proper duck is when someone is ordered to face another fighter yet chooses a weaker, safer route for less reward.

For example, being ordered to fight David Price for the British Heavyweight title, and rejecting it to fight Martin Rogan for a lesser title ( Irish title? ) and less money. That was a duck, plain and simple. Why he ducked him then I’ll never know. His handlers were always very cautious though, even back to his amateur days ( two or could have been three pull outs against Tom Dallas of all people! )

It’s a bigger fight. Just as Joshua - Fury would be too.

Fury - Wilder wouldn’t do Joshua level numbers over here, despite the initial hype following their first fight.

Surely people are not so stupid has to not think outside the box ,, Was the 50 mill offered , course it was , both sides confirmed it , But what about the other stuff , where was the fight going to be held , USA or UK , what about rematch clauses , , who was going to show it Sky , ESPN , Utube , , WHO , If it was'nt Sky would they sue AJ for breach of contract , and so on and so forth . .

It was all smoke and mirrors , , Now for me the main question is will Wilder duck this one with Fury , it was obvious they took Fury thinking they were grabbing a easy win and scoring brownie points for negotiations with AJ , but it backfired so now there in the position of AJ or Fury sort of box position you could say .

UNLESS.... Fury demands the rematch is in the UK , then Wilder is stuffed , he's just admitted to the world AJ and Hearn have approached his management and are desperate for the fight , Aj holds 3 belts and that alone says he should get at least 60-40 , if he (Wilder) does'nt take that he's blatantly ducking ... The only reason Fury should take a rematch in the states is bigger money ,, but he constantly says he does'nt care about money , so why go to the states , If Wilder refuses the UK it will be seen has a duck .

This admission of AJ being desperate for the fight really has shot himself in the foot , his handlesr should'nt let him any where near a microphone

Joshua v Fury is a 90k sellout as is Joshua v Wilder. Fury v Wilder isn't.

Do you still think Joshua is trying to avoid Wilder?
He probably saw enough from the Fury fight to grow some balls.
He’d beat the shite out of both outside the ring, at the same time probably.
No idea why he’d fear either in the ring.

Did Fury fear Price and Ustinov? He bottled them fights apparently.
Mental comment. I’d imagine Tyson would bite his nose off on the street. He will be dirty, Big John will have drilled that into them all. Or taken his eye out.

Rematch clause was a guaranteed $30m. At least $80m for 2 fights.
The offer came before Joshua signed a new contract with Sky.
A few of his fanatics couldn't see it, but Joshua was always going to fight the 39 year old much shorter Russian guy instead.
Enjoy Joshua-Whyte2 The Beef Returns in April.

Joshua is from da streets, Tyson is soft by comparison and was quite sheltered as a kid wasn’t he?

His dad might be a bully but we are talking about blokes of equal size and strength here. Big John wouldn’t be so bad if faced with an equal match, much less so if he was faced with a bigger foe...

AJ v Wilder is bigger $$$ than AJ v Fury.

I still think that it could end up AJ v Fury next though.

Your argument is straight out of the playground.

It's a boxing forum. You might fantasise about Joshua out of the ring, but the fact is that $50m couldn't get him in the ring.

It's a shame how Bowe ended up, he was arguably the most talented heavyweight of that era but he let that twat Rock Newman have too much influence. Great fighter when his head was right.
