Re: Scott Harrison
In his prime he was well supported but as has been well documented in the press when he is on the ran dan he isn't a very nice person and lets just say a wee bit of an attitude. I know people who have been disgusted by his behaviour at pubs and functions. I used to be one of his biggest fans but wouldn't waste my money going to see him after I heard the stories. I won't repeat what I have been told but it put me right off him.Coco wrote: ↑11 Dec 2018, 10:06Is he an unpopular figure in Glasgow?mainman1 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2018, 09:59Poor ticket sales as far as I'm aware, not surprising since he has been a c*nt to a lot of the people who used to pay to watch him.Petercattermole wrote: ↑11 Dec 2018, 07:31 I understand that the Glasgow card was cancelled do not know why

Feel free to at least hint at them! He can be a right nasty piece of work when he's had a skin full. When he's sober he's actually a really nice guy.Coco wrote: ↑11 Dec 2018, 10:38Feel free to at least hint at them! Re: Scott Harrison
Stuarty, do you think there is any possibility of a Burns-Harrison fight next year?
Re: Scott Harrison
Re: Scott Harrison
Ive met him a few times mate. Everytime I've met him he was really nice and down to earth. He has that 'don't fukk with me' aura about him though. I've been at a show in Paisley where he was in attendance and a little worse for wear and he looked like he could erupt at any given minute. I've also heard a few stories about him booting off and taking liberties with folk for no reason etc.....
Has a young family so I hope he gets his head sorted and stays on the straight and narrow.....
Re: Scott Harrison
Man, this mainman fella sounds like an absolute beast. I therefore agree with everything he has ever said.Stuarty wrote: ↑12 Dec 2018, 12:32Ive met him a few times mate. If I came home from work and found him in bed with my bird I'd fluff his pillows and make him a sandwichMF DOOM wrote: ↑12 Dec 2018, 12:56Man, this mainman fella sounds like an absolute beast. Re: Scott Harrison
haha That is just a poor excuse for the fact hardly any tickets were sold, trust me the show was only cancelled for one reason and that is Scott can't sell tickets. It really is a shame because he was genuinely one of my favourite boxers, I bought ringside seats at almost all of his fights in Glasgow and travelled to watch him for the last time against Michael Brodie in Manchester. But I could no longer support someone who acted the way he did, he was one of my hero's and to see him at a wedding spending all his time in the toilets with idiots, growling at guests who wanted to use the toilet and were at one point fans of his just put me off him altogether. This wasn't just a one off either he was doing the same in pubs, clubs etcleejonesjnr wrote: ↑12 Dec 2018, 04:35 Apparently opponent injured and whole show moved to unspecified date next year

Re: Scott Harrison
I was at the Brodie fight too. I spoke to Brodie a few times last year, he generally isn't too complimentary of former opponents but he had a soft spot for Harrison. He said it is sad that Harrison went off the rails and that he should be a national hero in Scotland and would have been if he'd handled the latter end of his career properly. The full interview is below but I'm not 100% sure I put all the Harrison stuff in there:mainman1 wrote: ↑13 Dec 2018, 04:44haha That is just a poor excuse for the fact hardly any tickets were sold, trust me the show was only cancelled for one reason and that is Scott can't sell tickets. Re: Scott Harrison
Cheers, that was a good read. I was always a Brodie fan. I really wanted him to get that payday against Naz. He deserved a big money fight like that.MF DOOM wrote: ↑14 Dec 2018, 06:10I was at the Brodie fight too. Great read. I remember the swain fight, tough battle and great finish.
