Which fight first?: AJ v. (Fury or Wilder) OR Fury/Wilder rematch

Post by oogiebe »

After seeing some back and forth in some threads, I'm asking the question. What fight would you rather see first? AJ v. Fury or Wilder OR Fury v. Wilder rematch?

Fury vs any of them. Just a formality, to finally see the true champ regaining belt-holding position.

AJ vs Wilder is the one for me. Because somebody is DEFINITELY getting knocked out in that one.

Get the Fury V Wilder II fight out of the way between February & June, then the winner fights Joshua in September or October. Seems like a good plan to me. :TU:

I probably did, but it wasn't in the same way. That was that I was really expecting 1 guy to knock out the other. In the case of AJ vs Wilder I don't know for sure WHO is gonna win by knockout, I just know somebody's gonna.

Fury ain't a particularly big puncher so the chances are usually higher that if he's gonna win it'll be by decision.

Yeah I could buy into that plan.

Settle the unfinished business first then the winner fights Joshua for all the baubles.

Seems too easy, what could go wrong..........

I say Fury vs Wilder rematch should come first. Why?

Because Apple Juice and his fancy pants tea bag promoter deserve no less, living off of Fury's leftovers and barely surviving that. Thank goodness for old age, this fantasy would have already been over. It will be soon enough, one way or another.

I'm no fan of Klitschko but I'd be rooting for him in that fight.

I'll be honest I'm just completely tired of the Hearn and Joshua bullshit.

Wilder v Fury is all about the match up and the fight. With Hearn, Joshua and their supporters its all about the money. "why should AJ do this or do that? These guys should just have to take what they're offered. Why should AJ have to fight in America? They're only entitled to x or y%"

It's all bollocks now. It's like some people would rather Joshua fought Whyte or Pulev if it meant Wilder or Fury got 5% more than they would like them to.

Rant over!

I had that same argument somewhere today. Fury and Wilder want legacy; AJ and hearn want the money. I hate them and AJ fans arguing on who sold more PPV's. Who gives a shite!>??

I really enjoyed the Wilder v Fury build up and fight. It wasn't the greatest fight but it was old school in that both fighters got paid well and everyone spoke about the fight rather than the pay cheques.

Then one week later we're back to who Joshua might fight in April and how lucky the opponent will be to get crumbs off their table.

I'm not naive, I know the money is important, but the fact that people feel they have such a vested interest in how much will be deposited in Eddie Hearn or Anthony Joshua's bank account is complete bollocks.

It's a sad state of affairs in boxing fandom.
