Ticket sales
Was a little surprised to see so many tickets available for the Frampton Warrington fight, looks like the venue is going to be pretty empty.
If you were Warren what changes would you make to ensure better ticket sales for future big fights?

Don't have the fight 3 days before Christmas
Not sure which fight was announced first but don't have it on the same night as a rival show.

^ Frampton was announced first. Your other point is bang on. I'd love to have gone but no effing way am I justifying forking out all of that on xmas week. Additonally not going to be travelling to Manc so near Christmas, so much other stuff to get on with - shopping, getting set for xmas, family visiting, going out with mates as xmas break starts, etc etc and many others are the same. Literally the worse weekend of the whole year to put on a fight.
But then, I bet matchroom get a good crowd. W4nkers

Re: Ticket sales
This fight does 25k plus in the summer. Really bad planning. I hope it wasn't dictated by tax matters as that gambit appears to have backfired. This is the biggest stablemate fight Wazza currently has.

Out of curiosity Toby, how much do you think matchrooms success is down to Eddies gift of the gab versus having the might of the sky sports promotional machine behind them?tobyh5 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 18:56 ^ Frampton was announced first. Sky is certainly a big factor.Nondescript wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 19:51Out of curiosity Toby, how much do you think matchrooms success is down to Eddies gift of the gab versus having the might of the sky sports promotional machine behind them?tobyh5 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 18:56 ^ Frampton was announced first. When Warren had sky backing he was the top promoter. Maybe they will eventually be on equal footing once BT is established

Re: Ticket sales
I think Sky sports news as much as anything really helps pushing the agenda and selling fights. Im surprised BT havent created a free to air sports news channel like that aswell to be honest.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 19:54Sky is certainly a big factor.Nondescript wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 19:51Out of curiosity Toby, how much do you think matchrooms success is down to Eddies gift of the gab versus having the might of the sky sports promotional machine behind them?tobyh5 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 18:56 ^ Frampton was announced first. Re: Ticket sales
Stupid idea all these fights and PPV's this time of the year, Christmas skints people as it is.
Re: Ticket sales
The attendance for Fwanks show tonight didn't look like it'd fill a coach.
Re: Ticket sales
Timing is terrible for this fight
Loads of people have a bad attitude to ppv as it is without putting it on 3days before Christmas

Re: Ticket sales
Searching for 8 tickets next to eachother brings 98 different places.. It is nowhere near a sell out
Re: Ticket sales
If by sold out you mean tickets are available in any area of the arena you'd like to sit then yes you are correct.

It is better to wait until it is difficult to check before you make false statements about shows selling out, y'know, like you usually do.

Re: Ticket sales
Yeah just had a look at the website, there’s obviously loads and loads of tickets left unsold. I thought Frampton & Warrington both had massive followings? Have they all been put off by how close it is to Christmas? Or are they going to Eddie’s show instead? ![[icon_e_surprised.gif] :oo](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)

Re: Ticket sales
You said it had almost sold out nearly a month ago. Where are you getting 16,000 sold from?
Re: Ticket sales
Id be surprised if it didn't at least almost sell out
