And managers that won't rip you off
Re: Best boxing managers in england
Fella, you are telling us that you are starting up in boxing promotion, you even have tv dates, and you need to come on a boxing forum to find out who is a decent manager??
Promoting is a business where you can lose a fortune, if you knowledge is so low, I would think again about going ahead with things

What is your name? I’ll just check out your promotors license with the board and I can give you loads of namesBillythekid25 wrote: ↑15 Dec 2018, 22:57 Who are at the moment the best managers to work with in England ?
Re: Best boxing managers in england
Maybe his name is Martin Gillick
Re: Best boxing managers in england
Yeah can’t see the promoting going to well chav, asking questions like this...
Re: Best boxing managers in england
He won't say who he is, or the name of his promotional company, yet he has got 8 dates lined up starting next month, TV dates too!
As far as I can see he has no boxers either!
Where can we buy tickets for these shows?
Sounds like another fantasist
The next question will be who can he hire a ring from!

Re: Best boxing managers in england
The op is clearly a troll living in a fantasy land.
He claims he's got eight promotional shows lined up and a TV "deal" with Freesports, yet does know any managers to work with and has no boxers for his outfit. Established promoters like Steve Wood and Stefy Bull can't get TV deals despite decent stables and years of experience.
Besides, Freesports isn't offering deals. It will broadcast anything providing the promoter pays £5,000-£10,000 in production costs.
In a previous post, the OP states that he is a bricklayer and is earning £600 a week. There is no way that a bricklayer on little over £30k a year could pay the board's bond and then foot Freesports' production costs.
In another post, he asked if professional boxers pay gym subs. If he had regular interaction with boxers (as a would-be promoter should have) he wouldn't need to ask this on a public forum.
In another thread, he says he is heavily involved with BIBA, which would at least explain the board bond issue, but it still doesn't sound believable.#
I hope he proves me wrong, but at this stage his posts sound like the ramblings of someone living in la la land.

If he had any credibility he would give his name to lee personally I think he is another deluded character that seem to pop up in boxing much like robin deakin just seeking attention I maybe wrong but with the content of his posts stating he has got tv dates etc and hasn’t got any fights lined up etc etc I have to wonder whether he’s real or not

He told everyone he was going to be the next big thing but couldn't catch a break. Somehow he got a pro license and made his debut on a show in the Manchester area.
He had no team with him, was out of shape and knocked down 3 times in round one and stopped.
We never heard of him after that.

Looked Gillick up and it seems he did box again. He fought in Australia in 2009...and was blown away in 29 seconds.

I was at Gillick's pro debut. A truly momentous occasion.Wake up call wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 13:39Sounds like a British Charlie Zelenoff.punchers chance wrote: ↑19 Dec 2018, 11:56He posted on here years ago.
