How does Frampton win?

Post by kbackup408 »

2 days away from the fight and seen a slight shift here towards Warrington but wanted to hear the case from Frampton, what do you lads thinks?

(wishing everyone a warm and relaxing festive period, you lads do a great job in breaking down these fights!)

I dont think either boxer stops either boxer. This is a 12 round fight. The fittest will win. Warrington has a great work ethic and is improving all the time. Frampton has been to the top so dies he still have the desire to win?

The person who out boxes the other will win this fight. There isnt going to be any knock outs here. Warrington doesnt have a knock out punch and Frampton got his ko's in early on in his career, most of his wins in the last 5 years are by the way of points.

For me personally I dont think we have seen the best of Warrington but have seen the best in Frampton.

I think it will be a decent fight Warrington winning by 5 points on the cards.

totally agree with that i can see Warrington winning the first 7 then Frampton closing strong (despite his cardio fade)

Same way he beat LSC in the first fight - he hits him hard and early as he’s coming in.

i think frampton has to stop warrington to win. warrington is going to be too fit and too relentless to get beat on points.

Frampton looks as a superior boxer, however, Warrington can give him a fight. I think, Frampton will take the decision, after a convincing performance, but Warrington will have his moments too.

He simply can't get outworked, which I believe will happen. Warrington by decision.

Feels like a classic cat versus dog match. Frampton has the speed and reflexes...especially early on. Warrington will have the stamina and relentlessness.

Carl needs to put something on him early like he did to Quigg with the jaw or else I feel Warrington's volume may sneak it.

Frampton all day long just a better fighter.

Think warrington will come on strong in the last 3/4 rounds but it’ll be too late by then.

Framton on points by scores of around 116-112 117-111....ish.

I take nothing to do with boxing now. Have barely watched a fight in the last 18 months and not seen Frampton since his loss to LSC. However, if he has retained his hunger then he will win by sitting on the back foot and letting Warrington come forward and commit. Warrington is a pressure fighter but there isn’t a great deal of subtlety or finesse to his work.

Frampton can pick him off with the cleaner eye catching punches and then tie him up or get out the way.

Frampton by about 4/5 rounds I think.

I would say the same pal if I didn't watch Carl after that bout but I really believe he has regressed since that fight, Warrington gets this on points

I thought Warrington was the sort of fighter who could be out classed. You can throw as much as you want but if you are hitting fresh air!!
However he showed against Selby better skills than I thought he had, and Frampton isn't as elusive.
I can see this turning into a real classic, phone box stuff without any hanging on. For me it will be a slugfest leaving the fittest, hardest and bravest man left standing.
Maybe Selby had slipped a bit and I am overestimating Warrington but I believe he will have his hand held up.
For Framton to win, he will need to do the same as the Leeds man but want it more, I can't se there being much between them.

Do you see it being tight on cards? Possibility of a draw knowing these cards in 2018!

For me it's definately going to be a close fight, if someone wins clearly on the cards it will because they have edged the rounds rather than dominated the fight. A draw would be a pretty good bet! I see it going the distance, both seem solid around the whiskers and neither are big punchers.

Ha, while for me this is the higher quality fight, the more meaningful fight and of course they are fighting for the title, don't forget that Chisora v Whyte was a great fight too and I expect more of the same. This is the only reason Eddie can get away with it, because it's a great fight. Otherwise it's quite meaningless.

to be honest mate I wanted to watch both but when DAZN failed to secure the rights i'm just going for the Warrington fight as ESPN+ has got this plus deeper card

Frampton must hit him hard, early. Give him respect, because Warrington when he’s in gung-ho mode is a tough man to stop.
