More I think about it I'm starting to side with Williams.

He has had something that Heffron hasn't and that is proper fights. Against Liam Smith twice and Corcoran ( which was violent). Williams beat Smith in the first fight and the second was close. It's fights like this where you learn and improve as a fighter even if you get beat.

Heffron on the flip side seems a very aggressive but confident fighter however his record is just a constant stream of tick over fights. He hasn't had any real learning fights yet, he may prove to be the real deal and look spectacular tonight but at the moment we don't really know how good he is.

Deffo mate. I really like Williams. See if he's improved any under Ingle. That could be a factor. Just at the weigh in yesterday I thought Heffron looked massive in comparison. I rate Heffron as well. Williams is game as they come so I'm well buzzing for this one.

Would love a Williams win but worry about his cuts opening up again.

Excellent performance from Williams he was first class all night, made Heffron look basic, his movement bothered him and he landed some quality eye catching shots which jerked the head back of Heffron, the jab was class, loved the way he came back with a left after landing the straight right, quality punch picking, I only gave Heffron a share of a round and although he did come on a bit in the later rounds, he was taking some big right hands

Thought the ref done well TBF, for both the knockdown and the finish, there was a foot tangle for the KD but I did think Heffron looked staggered after a right hand and the at the stoppage he was eating some big rights so cant argue with Howard at all

Credit to Williams he's beat some dangeros fighters on paper, lesser fighters than him from these shores have picked up a world title

like ive been saying ,, williams is easily euro level. very solid fighter. good punch technique, solid punch picking, some power there. its easy to focus on heffron maybe not being up to it but dont let the smith fights get you to underrate williams, hes a good fighter for sure and has been handily beating these guys who arent better then british level

I’ve always rated Williams pretty highly. I thought he was winning the first Smith fight relatively comfortably when it got stopped unfairly, although I was a bit disappointed with his performance in the rematch. Glad he looked so good tonight.

Good fighter is Williams, I thought he was unlucky against Smith too, and of course Smith is also a good fighter.
Hopefully the Welshman will have an opportunity to push on now, he has been left on the sidelines a bit.

I'm not really on for gloating but I feel I got this spot on. Heffron was totally outclassed in there tonight. Williams was excellent.

Not that it would have changed the result you need fights at area and English level before taking on someone of Liam Williams ability.

Not quite buying the sudden Williams Hype. I think he's back on track to how he was looking before the Smith fight, but it remains to be seen if he can execute it at world level. I don't see it. Not yet.

Heffron was poor, his head was jolted back from the very first punch that Williams landed and that was the pattern set. He seemed to have no extra gears or be able to adapt. Which is rather worrying for Heffron in the long term because Williams wasn't doing anything amazing.

Williams was excellent last night, he schooled Heffron and took him apart.

Heffron proved to be another with a built up record, hasn't really fought anyone decent and has failed at the first time of stepping up to proper British level rather than feasting on journeymen.

I like Williams a lot.

Last night was a class performance and the tie-up with Dom Ingle has clearly done him the world of good.

I was looking forward to this fight and Williams basically battered Heffron. Let’s not forget Williams was also stepping up a division.

in a nutshell Hefron was:

wooden

eastern european amateur in style

going back in straight lines all the time

stood too 'square on'

slow and pondeous

guilty of having no plan B

completely outclassed

completely outgunned

not as good as his brother

guilty of his mouth writing pre-fight cheques that his boxing skills could not cash
