WBO featherweight champion Scott Harrison’s title defence against Gairy St Claire next Saturday could be in doubt after the fighter was arrested following a nightclub incident.

Harrison, who is due to take on St Clair in Belfast, was questioned after police were called to the premises in Balloch, Dumbartonshire in the UK.

The Scotsman hit the headlines last month when he was bailed on charges of breach of the peace, refusing to leave a licensed premises, resisting arrest and police assault.

-----------

Sounds as if Scott could do with the fight being called off, whats he doing in a nightclub a week before the fight.

...Seems like he has some problem or other to be behaving like this... if I was his manager I'd pull him out of the fight as he can't be in the right frame of mind the way he's behaving...

If this is true then my patience has gone with Harrison. First of all he pulls out of the Guzman fight citing toothache
Then he has to be restrained with CS gas after kicking off in a well known Glasgow city centre pub only a month before a title defence. :o
Now he's caught with narcotics and is kicking off again in a nightclub, only a f*cking week before a world title defence.
His behaviour can not be defended and he needs to get his head out of his arse. Its just as well that they have moved this to Belfast because he would have probably been booed all over the show if he fought in Glasgow after all of his recent bollocks.
I've shelled out big style on flights, hotels and tickets for Belfast next Saturday and this is the way he is repaying guys like me. he obviously just doesn't give a shit about the fans and I'm going to be seriously tempted to cheer for the other guy if a there even is a fight on Saturday.
My message to him would be "Wise up you little Prick and get your head out of your arse!"

I'm sorry but Scott Harrison is just a plain knob, how many chances does he expect to get? I was looking forward to his bout with St. Clair, why does he keep having to f**k about the tool.

Hmm, there's an alarming pattern emerging here. Alchohol, Narcotics and getting in fights, and pulling out of fights. It's not looking good is it?

Maloney must be fornicating seething.

Whats the chances that he will be tested for drugs after the fight (if it goes ahead?) ...seems Harrison has fallen into the wrong crowd... must be off his head to carry on like this so close to fighting...

Couldn't believe story when I heard. I actually feel sorry for Harrison though. It's clear he is a troubled boy who has problems with alcohol. If you are out on the tear a week before a world title defence you either know something others don't (that the fight's not happening) or you have demons. Hope he gets it together for while I reckon he's a bit limited in world terms he's always good to watch and gives it a go.

very disappointing, will this guy never learn?

He is going to end up ruining his career and spending time in The Big House the way he is carrying on these days.

I have some sympathy for Scott, seems like he may well have a alcohol problem... I think his people should pull him out of the fight and persuade him to get help... his actions seem to be those of someone trying to get out of fighting... I'd put my money on St Clair to win if he's in any sort of good shape...

According to reports, Harrison wasn't in any trouble in the pub, when he went to go into the nightclub at the back of the place he was turned away because he was wearing a football shirt. When he left the pub he was searched by police when some illegal substance was allegedy found.
