he cannot be too bad at middleweight as he pushed soliman pretty close who in turn pushed Winky pretty close...Btownjay wrote:Hey guys... question...
Does this Bika guy pose any real thread to Beyer this weekend? I've never seen him fight and honestly know nothing about him at all. He seems to have decent power vs. questionable oposition.
Your thoughts?
I think he will be competitive but not quite good enough

He's fought a level below Beyer that's for sure, and the Germans have probably got it right as usual when carefuly picking Beyer's opponents: Beyer UD.
But the African/Aussie has won away from home ( Oz that is ) a few times, so wont be intimidated you'd think.
BTW - don't think I haven't seen such a poor clueless challenger as the one they dug up for Erdei last week in a long long time: really shocking - looked like a novice.

Murdoch was poor no doubt.MightyWarrior wrote:He's fought a level below Beyer that's for sure, and the Germans have probably got it right as usual when carefuly picking Beyer's opponents: Beyer UD.

Yes it was a very bad cut. I was only half watching but it looked to be shaping up for a tough night for Beyer too...
Abraham found himself in the middle of a nightmare on Sat night. He was gulping for air around mid way, and Kofi was taking everything he had to offer and punching back with interest.
But the crafty AA got out of jail: killed time as he strolled away, then launched bombs just when his opponent least expected it. But his punches just bounced off Kofi's chin: how he was ever knocked out previously, I'll never know. What a chin he has. And AA showed real metal too. Great fight to watch.

it was definetely a bad cut and the referee's choice (in fact it was the medical supporter dr. wagner who said the fight is over) was right. after the fight, beyer was taken to a local hospital and needed 50 stitches. but he came out that night and was at the party in his hotel although still having problems to see right. he had to wear a patch to protect his eye and looked awful.Lenny Albert wrote:Was the cut enough to stop the fight in your opinion?
i think it was good to have a second high-class fight this evening. even when it wasn't beyer's fault, it's always bad for the audience when a fight ends that way. abraham was the stronger one but learned that it's not always easy to win. he needed to work and it was amazing and more than respectable what jantuah did on saturday night!
