I'm not defending Jones, just laughing at your hypocrisy.

Re: MMA
I don't care if a fighter says it was a contaminated supplement or not. They put it in their body and should face the consequences. We have way too many fighters with way too many excuses. It's their responsibility for what they put in their bodies. The only way you are going to make a dent in fighters trying to cheat the system is to punish them equally and harshly irregardless of the excuse or intent. Contaminated meat.....I don't give a shit. Contaminated supplement....I don't give a shit. You piss hot you should pay the price. There should also be a three strikes and you are gone for good policy.
Re: MMA
It's not about what fighters say, it's about companies not putting all their ingredients on the labels. Fighters then taking what they think is a safe supplement only to find out it has a banned substance when their tests come back. Which I think is fair however it's unfair to then label them the same way that people who have purposely taken the banned substances get labelled.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑26 Dec 2018, 11:01 I don't care if a fighter says it was a contaminated supplement or not. Fighters who have successfully used that defence have still been punished despite being cleared of any intentional wrong doing.

Re: MMA
Whatchu think about Rogan's take on the Jones debacle?
Re: MMA
I think Rogan was just trying to cut through the hysteria a bit. Was trying to put in perspective how Jones was pinged. He did say Jones shouldn't be punished if it was something he'd already served his time...... but steered well clear of sharing any opinion of the relocation of the card....
I don't think pulling Jones would have been a punishment.... given the history of this saga, I think pulling Jones was just a bullet the ufc and Jones had to take...

I get what Rogan is saying. Maybe he is right that the technology from one year ago has progressed to the point that now it caught the metabolite which it didn't before. Saying that, do they still have his previous urine and blood samples and if so have they tested them to see how much of that metabolite was in his system as compared to right now?Impractical Poster wrote: ↑26 Dec 2018, 15:17 Whatchu think about Rogan's take on the Jones debacle?

He did say that a few experts in the field that he has an extreme amount of respect for say that the evidence is that this was residual usage. And one thing I know about Rogan is he is straight up about everything. If he thought any of these guys were shady, he'd say it. So, I tend to believe it.

I couldn't care less being honest. Though cutting that fight would save me $75 to trust a stream and watch football. That being said...War motherfucking Gustafson!

I'd like to see Gus win as well. But, he's been pretty inactive over the past few years.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑26 Dec 2018, 20:40 I couldn't care less being honest. Though cutting that fight would save me $75 to trust a stream and watch football. That being said...War motherfucking Gustafson!

Re: MMA
Rogan has his favorites that he makes excuses for. To this day I think he's defended every one of Jones' failed tests, even some hilarious conspiracy about his cocaine being tainted with steroid laden creatine from China. No fuckin joke.

Re: MMA
What bothers me most with Joe is the definitive goat statements. Used to be Silva to puke. Oddly, his favorites don't seem to be in line with the promotions agenda. I've never heard him mention McGregor in the all-time feather convo, just the guys he smashed. And mighty mouse, like Anderson, were guys I didn't think we're the best and clearly weren't top draws.
Re: MMA
Don’t see Gus winning, the first fight was close but not as close as people kept saying it was.
Anyone think Nunes has a chance against Cyborg?
Joe is as full of shit as everyone else is most of the time. He’s come out with some crazy shit over the years.

I just don't believe all the excuses for why his most recent test came back positive. Why did he turn down WADA testing if he is being honest about being clean? Could it be that WADA is a lot more stringent and competent in their testing protocol than USADA? I believe so. USADA isn't the best organization to test athletes, especially Americans, for steroids. This whole situation smells fishy and where there's smoke there is usually fire.

I'm not thinking round 1, nunes is tough as hell. Not the best stamina though, guessing 3
Re: MMA
Stiill making about 80% roi for cyborg to stop her, i might go heavy on that with a smaller bet r1, then roll some of the profits on Bones to get the stoppage at 2.20 if it comes good.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑28 Dec 2018, 01:59 I'm not thinking round 1, nunes is tough as hell. Re: MMA
Novitzky was on Rogans show explaining it or attempting to. Anyway he let slip that the test everyone is talking about is actually Jones’ 3rd positive test in the run up to this fight.Baby Face Finster wrote: ↑27 Dec 2018, 13:51 I just don't believe all the excuses for why his most recent test came back positive. Just looked up the card. Are you looking forward to this?
Re: MMA
Cyborg has crushed her opponents, but the opposition level that Nunes has faced has been a bit higher. I wouldn't bet on this fight. Wouldn't bet on the main event either...
It seems division changes and/or inactivity are a factor in half of the fights of the card...

Re: MMA
It seems that Cyborg should win given her size. But, she has not faced the level of striker in Nunes before. If she can take Nunes' shots, she wins. But can she? She's got a lot of power, and probably has the best hands in women's MMA.

A bit, I've watched the whole season and I like the format with the regular season and playoffs. All the winners are getting a million bucks so if they have staying power it could be interesting.Impractical Poster wrote: ↑28 Dec 2018, 23:42Just looked up the card. Are you looking forward to this?
