Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner on ITV4 - 19 January 2019

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

ITV has announced live coverage of two world title fights in January 2019 under its new deal with Haymon Sports Premier Boxing Champions [PBC].

The two major events to be shown, free to air, on ITV4 on consecutive weekends, are the first under the new deal announced last week between ITV and PBC.

Up first is on Sunday, January 13, is Jose Uzcategui defending his IBF Super Middleweight WorldChampionship against unbeaten top challenger Caleb Plant. Coverage will come live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

The following weekend, on 19 January, ITV4’s coverage will come live from Las Vegas where Manny Pacquiao will defend his WBA world welterweight title against Adrien Broner. The exclusive ITV4 coverage will also include the much-anticipated showdown between Badou Jack and Marcus Browne for the WBA Interim Light Heavyweight title.

One of the biggest names in boxing, Manny Pacquiao steps up for the 70th fight of his career against Adrien Broner. Aged 40, Pacquiao will take on a man more than a decade his junior to defend the latest of the 11 world title belts he has held across eight divisions in his career.

Poxon Sport has been confirmed as the exclusive promoter of all UK PBC events on ITV. Richard Poxon of Poxon Sports, said: “This is an incredible opportunity for boxing and sports fans. On one hand we have a giant of UK broadcasting in ITV and on the other a giant of world boxing in Premier Boxing Champions. I'm looking forward to promoting all the fantastic PBC events in the UK on ITV. The quality of these first two free to air events should show UK fans exactly what they can expect to see over the length of this new deal, and they can expect more news in the following days about the first PBC UK boxing event.”

It's shocking that a fighter like Pacquao has fought 70 times in this day and age. He's made lots of money, surely he hasn't burned it all?

I suppose. Each to their own. Bit of a throwback seeing a top fighter rack up that many fights

He's built schools and hospitals and supplied entire villages with electricity and running water back home. That can't come cheap even over there. I don't think he gets enough credit for all that stuff, (non boxing) people were quick to jump on him for his religious beliefs, but the guys a legend. And in my eyes, using your money like that pisses over all Floyd flash cars and tacky jewellery.

Still a lot less selfish than buying a 437th watch or having an all white house on the west coast and an identical but all black house on the east coast or whatever shit Mayweather has spent his money on.

Though to be fair it's his money and he's entitled to spend it as he pleases before I get a torrent of abuse!

Truedat. But is it pr and marketing
If it gets poor people running water and healthcare does it matter? The man has truly made a difference over there. Imagine if beckham did that shit over here? Or AJ? I'm sure it doesn't hurt his public persona, but I wouldn't say it's widely known in the west

Joshua would be better doing that than any more ringside interviews like on Saturday night. That was embarrassing stuff, don't blame Whyte for fornicating off back to the dressing room.

Wifebeater has been very selfish with his money.
A lot of stupid stuff over the years, and barely given back to the sport that gave to him.

Probably is true mate but I'm from Paisley so normal rules don't apply

I was shagging a bird from Glasgow in the summer and I literally couldn't find her clit  I'm an experienced shagger as well
