Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
Any fighter with such a crappy list of foes and no opponent with two weeks before his next fight should be mouthing off to anyone. I'm really sick of this guy. We have no chance of a decent opponent for Big Mouth Baby at this point, yet he is campaigning for a title shot. I hope his TBA kicks his fat arse. There, I feel better now.
Re: Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
Maybe he'll get the April date with AJ rather than Whyte. I just want someone to dispose of him already.

looks like a pretty boring card too

Re: Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
Jarrell Miller is the current big ralking clown of the heavyweight division after Fury's redemption against Wilder.
After a failed kickboxing career he's now hoping to line up a big payday against AJ without the slightest risk.
"I'm a monster, man. I heard he was a little nerd in school. He has about an inch and a half on me and I have about 50 pounds on him. " Miller on AJ.
Eddie Hearn's going to have to work hard on deciding the right time to sacrifice, I mean, match him against Joshua. A possible showdown with David Price or Dave Allen first might help? Or perhaps they're just too risky.

All them Millers and Breazeales feel more safe sitting without opponents and claiming contendership. They'd better to fight each other to find a true contender, while the bosses of the division are busy.

Do we blame the fighter for not having an opponent or do we blame his management and promoter
Re: Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
It's his big mouth. He fought no one and still has no opponent for later this month. He shouldn't be mouthing off. That he controls.tiny_acres wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:14 Do we blame the fighter for not having an opponent or do we blame his management and promoter

Re: Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
Jarrell Miller and Dominic Breazeale are in a unique position whereby they’re already guaranteed a shot at Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua respectively, but are waiting for these world champions to decide who their next opponents are.
There’s been talk of the ‘Big Baby’ facing AJ at Madison Square Garden in New York, on the 13th April, if Eddie Hearn fails to orchestrate a big enough name for Anthony Joshua to fill Wembley Stadium on the same date.
In terms of Dominic Breazeale’s situation, even though he’s the mandatory challenger for the WBC title, Mauricio Sulaiman’s desire to maximise the revenue received from sanctioning fees will inevitably result in ‘The Bronze Bomber’ being granted a certain amount of flexibility, since Deontay Wilder is capable of earning much bigger purses either by engaging in a rematch against Tyson Fury or alternatively a title unification bout against Anthony Joshua instead.
The last thing I heard was that Jarrell Miller was targeting a bout against Trevor Bryan later this month for the interim-WBA title, with his next goal to capture Manuel Charr’s WBA Regular heavyweight championship shortly afterwards, assuming the American is unable to secure the mega-money AJ bout in the meantime.

Again, I don't blame him for that, but at the same time, he's in no position to be spewing all the ridiculous braggadocios. Ergo I just can't wait for someone to kick his arse!tiny_acres wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:23I understand he has an over inflated ego and a sense of entitlement. Of course. It's really a shame that the top 6-12 hw's aren't fighting each other. Wow, apparently some fans obviously still take what boxers say about themselves seriously. I mean who cares about any boxer saying they are the best or the opposition is ducking them? Seriously. Haven't you heard that 10000 times already.
Miller is doing ok. He's worked himself up into a good position. 26 fights is about average for a career to get to this point. It's not like he's had 40 fights against tomato cans. He fought build up fights up in his first 18 fights and then has stepped up the level to boxers 25-75 for his next 6 fights. Anyone seriously criticizing this, doesn't really understand how boxing works.
We'll see what he's got in due time. But I think AJ, Wilder and Fury will have their dance cards booked for a while, so it might even be 2 years till he gets his chance at the top level. I can't imagine Potvekin will go near him, maybe Parker will. He should fight Christian Hammer, who is ranked 12 on boxrec, but is weak as watery poo.

I don't mind boxers who shoot off their mouths except where they have nothing behind it, such as Miller. Mouthing off has nothing to do with 'how boxing works' except when used to promote a particular event, and Miller vs TBA won't be helped by it. People who know boxing aren't taken in by the hot air. It's lame in this case. Just saying. I guess my overall point was due to him being 2 weeks away from fighting TBA, which is nothing for him to be blowing about. And Christian Hammer? You gotta be kidding!conan_the_cribber wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:37 Wow, apparently some fans obviously still take what boxers say about themselves seriously. I'm saying, he should fight someone to keep busy and this someone should be a top 25 fighter. I see this fight as an easy win for him, hence the suggestion. Hammer is not a shitty opponent. Someone ranked 100 in the world is a shitty opponent.jamamb wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:41so your saying miller should fight a sh!tty opponentconan_the_cribber wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:37 He should fight Christian Hammer, who is ranked 12 on boxrec, but is weak as watery poo.![]()
Re: Big Mouth Big Baby Miller still without an opponent.
He's beyond fighting to stay busy. He needs to step it up. In fact there's another guy who needs to step it up and the two of them should fight each other. Miller vs Breazeale! They are both good at talking, let them show us. Hammer is a waste of time at this point.conan_the_cribber wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:45I'm saying, he should fight someone to keep busy and this someone should be a top 25 fighter. Well I bow to your great knowledge of the sport. I'm sure by being cordial, humble and respectful, he's sure to grab plenty of air time in a division currently dominated by news articles about AJ, Wilder and Fury.oogiebe wrote: ↑02 Jan 2019, 12:44I don't mind boxers who shoot off their mouths except where they have nothing behind it, such as Miller. Point is, you don't know if he has nothing behind it. He's a decent hitter and has a decent work rate and has been taking out whoever is in front of him. It's not like he's got a loss to Ross Purrity on his record. You could literally say that anyone who has not fought the champs in their division has "nothing behind it".
And the fact that he has no opponent with two weeks to go before the fight is purely a management problem. But I'm sure you understand this as well, or maybe not.
