Whyte Discusses Next Fight..

Post by Ruthless-RKO »

Dillian Whyte will not consider fighting Dominic Breazeale for the WBC number one spot on the back of his big KO over Derek Chisora.

In a recent radio interview, Whyte spoke about other possible options, but says Breazeale is not one of them despite the American being World Boxing Council mandatory.

A win over Breazeale would put Whyte in pole position to face the winner of Wilder v Fury II, although the Londoner is not interest.

Speaking to Sirius XM Fight Nation co-host Randy Gordon, Whyte’s conversation also turned to Alexander Povetkin, who the 30 year-old says backed out of facing him.

The chat went like this:

Randy: “We’re talking to Dylan White who is one of the top heavyweights on this planet.

“Dillian, if you don’t get Joshua. If you don’t get Wilder and if you don’t get Fury next. I realized that you should be in line for any one of them but who else would it be?

“Would it be somebody like Alexander Povetkin? Povetkin has actually called you out,”
asked Gordon.

Dillian Whyte: “You know Povetkin the coward agreed to fight me. I heard so from David Price. He said yes. What the f***? – Are we gonna make the fight? Contact my promoter.

“I said sure. I spoke with him on it with his team at ringside (for the Price fight). And then they say yes, they are up for the fight.

“First they were going to wait. They were going to sit down and wait for the Joshua fight.”

Povetkin eventually lost to Joshua in September, leaving that clash dead in the water until the Russian wins again.

BREAZEALE

On the possibility of Breazeale, Whyte said: “You know I ain’t got no time whatsoever to fight Dominic Breazeale. He’s got a big (fleshy) body and one loss. The loss (to Joshua) is the only thing what he’s known in Britain.

“I need to know right about a fight with the big guys (Wilder, Fury and Joshua). It’s good for me to knock those big guys out (like Chisora) in front of the local people and the fans get excited about it. I know it’s bigger than any type of activity.

“If Povetkin is not dumb, then the fight is is going to be Povetkin (if not Joshua) because he’s a big guy. He looked the part and he’s strong and he’s tough. A very technical guy,”
he concluded.

His run of wins puts Breazeale to shame. Absolute joke that he isn’t WBC mando.
