DeGale was prone to mid fight lazy spells even at his best and has been in some gruellers in recent times.

Re: James DeGale vs. Chris Eubank Jr. - 23 February 2019
This fight is going to be widely streamed & deservedly so, should never be PPV. Would have done very decent numbers non-PPV too, I'd say.
Degale was seriously underwhelming in his fights against Truax and despite being a much better boxer than Eubank Jr he may well get worked over in this one if he performs at that level. Some tough fights look like they have caught up with him but I'd still like him to take this one (slightly lesser of two irritants!)

It seems in every interview with a boxer on YouTube I read they are on coke if they so much as rub their nose and blinkRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑03 Jan 2019, 18:11He was so calm. Normally Eubank is such a ranter and raver!!!
Re: James DeGale vs. Chris Eubank Jr. - 23 February 2019
Not 5k but nigel benn fought mcClellan for 750,000 on freeciew itv1 in 1995 so why cant these two? They arnt no bigger than nigel fckin benn combined so why should we have to pay?

That works out at over £1.4m today when inflation adjusted so they probably are.
You don’t have to pay, it’s a choice. If you want to see this contest more than you want £15 then buy it, if you don’t, don’t.

Benn was the defending WBC champ, these 2 are nothing so it could have been shown free, ive not paid for a fight since Canelo v Mayweather, never miss any though.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 01:42That works out at over £1.4m today when inflation adjusted so they probably are.

Not really relevant, anything COULD be shown free if someone can be found to foot the bill. I agree that this contest is not two big stars and for me personally it doesn't appeal enough to buy it, so I won't but I have no problem with those that do.bigjack wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 04:21Benn was the defending WBC champ, these 2 are nothing so it could have been shown free, ive not paid for a fight since Canelo v Mayweather, never miss any though.leejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 01:42That works out at over £1.4m today when inflation adjusted so they probably are.

DeGale-Eubank on free tv doesn’t pull that number i’m afraid. But we’ll never know. Boxers greed wanting to be paid more, forcing the fight to be a PPV.
Re: James DeGale vs. Chris Eubank Jr. - 23 February 2019
I hope this fight and its PPV numbers fails miserably. Jank it is. Wonder what fake row they'll come up with to follow along at each presser
Two deluded lemons if they think this is a PPV bout, who wants to shell out their shekels to see a has been and a never will be fight?!

If i find a decent stream ill watch it if not i wont its that simple really and i dont care who i upset for not forking out 15 quid. The only people that benefit from a ppv are the broadcasters and the promotor, the fighter wont benefit,he will be on an agreed feeleejonesjnr wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 04:49Not really relevant, anything COULD be shown free if someone can be found to foot the bill. Seems to be the norm these days, if this is ppv worthy then anything above Euro level or involving 'former world champs' will be. I haven't bought a ppv in years so I don't really care, I'm in the habit of enjoying my Saturday night with the wife as usual then watching the fights for free on youtube on a Sunday morning with a bacon butty and a cuppa. I enjoy them much more without being half pissed actually! I did listen to the Wilder/Fury fight on radio 5 however as that was a big occasion, I remember my old man telling me how he used to listen to big fights on the radio all the time back in the 50s and 60s and thought it seemed daft but it isn't all that bad actually, depends on the commentators too I suppose.Oiky wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 08:09 I hope this fight and its PPV numbers fails miserably. Fighters are definately getting a cut. Promoters will take a cut from that though. DeGale said he’s been paid good money. Uncle Al is know for paying his guys good money. They probably getting guaranteed £1m plus before PPV revenue.samwbr wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 18:02You've seen their contracts?thechump wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 14:52If i find a decent stream ill watch it if not i wont its that simple really and i dont care who i upset for not forking out 15 quid. No av you? My point is they will get a flat fee. Any extra they want is greed imo, like i posted earlier Nigel Benn survived on 750,000 for fightin a killer in Gerald McClellan so these two can survive on their flat fee toosamwbr wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 18:02You've seen their contracts?thechump wrote: ↑05 Jan 2019, 14:52If i find a decent stream ill watch it if not i wont its that simple really and i dont care who i upset for not forking out 15 quid.
