So do i,it's whether the paying public will cough up for it,especially if Brook also suffers a defeat along the wayleejonesjnr wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 06:48I think he can too

There becomes a point where the goods are so damaged it's like trying to play old boardgames in a hospital waiting room.

Begging it. Pure desperation. After his crap performance against Zerafa, he literally said he’d agree to all the terms Khan was demanding. He knows after that his time is running out and there is NO BIG pay day for him..
It’s literally just Hurd.. and as a challenger how much is he gonna make there?

Clearly not as much. He must see the end in sight.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 13:14Begging it. Pure desperation. That is one tasty CV
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - 20 April 2019?
Ballsy move and certainly not what I expected to be next for him, but khan could get destroyed and still fight brooks later in 2019 if he wanted.
But you get the feeling they dislike each other so much that Amir just wants to deny Kel the big payday.

I do not understand Khan's appeal. He is a good fighter but he is not the highest level that many claim.
He loses every big fight he gets and keeps getting more of them.I give him credit for being able to keep getting knocked out and making big bucks.
I just don't understand it

He lost to Canelo, not his weight class, he hasn’t actually had a big fight since.. so can’t say he’s keep getting them.tiny_acres wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 13:46 I do not understand Khan's appeal. He is a good fighter but he is not the highest level that many claim.

He lost to Peterson, then Garcia. Moved up to 147 and worked his way to WBC mandatory, but never actually got THAT shot.. that’s when he took the Canelo fight.
So you can’t realy say he loses every big fight and keeps getting more..
Also, he hasn’t lost al his big fights has he? He beat a lot of guys in their prime.

What top fighter did he beat in his prime? I'm not trying to be difficult in this I just do not see anyRuthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 13:57He lost to Canelo, not his weight class, he hasn’t actually had a big fight since.. so can’t say he’s keep getting them.tiny_acres wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 13:46 I do not understand Khan's appeal. Any win over Maidana is a good one.tiny_acres wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 14:01What top fighter did he beat in his prime? Not a top fighter, but I actually think Khans win over Kotelnik has been under-rated. Kotelnik was in with some decent fighters and nobody dominated him as easily as Khan did

But Brooks win over Porter is still better than any wins Khan has.......
Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - 20 April 2019?
I have to agree on that. Khan fought a lot of good fighters, but he didn't beat a lot of good fighters.Switch hitter wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 15:03 But Brooks win over Porter is still better than any wins Khan has.......

Back when he wasn’t even world level. I agree still a good win on paper, overall probably is better than any one of Khan’s wins it can always be argued.oogiebe wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 15:06I have to agree on that. You could always say Brook beating Porter is like JMM beating Salido.

I would rather see Khan against Brook. It would have been a great build up and a good fight to have on our shores.
Nothing against Khan taking the fight with Crawford, but to me this is a less appealing fight.

Exactly. There's a lot of things you can call Khan but I don't think being a bottler is one of them.
[/quote]
he's been cherry picking his entire career, 99% of his opponents have been feather fisted yet he's still been up and down the canvas like a circus act. His ducking of Brook is the biggest duck ever.

Do me a favour!
How the hell is feather fisted bang average Malignaggi worth mentioning. How is Kotelnik worth mentioning when he was crap and feather fisted he had losses to Witter and Mbaye ffs. Alexander was pretty average and feather fisted and when Khan fought him he was past his best. Judah, Collazo, and Barrera totally past it. Peterson bang average and feather fisted and he whooped Khan, Garcia decent but not that good and he whooped Khan . Alvarez Knocked him the fornicate out.
Looks like you fell for the bait. Khans whole career has been manufactured and he's failed to stay at world level for long, he's had cringeworthy and embarrassing moments inside and outside the ring more than any boxer Ive ever seen. He;s literally a laughing stock as you can see from this poll results https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/b ... rs.621894/
and he has 0% chance against Crawford

Re: Terence Crawford vs. Amir Khan - 20 April 2019?
Khan doesn't even deserve a world title shot.
Lets be real, his high profile is just because of race/religion meaning he has many desperate fans- South Asians make up 1/3rd of the worlds population yet can't get any boxers to any decent level, so they lump all their hope on the mediocre Khan no matter how many losses he has.. If Khan was white or black he would have 95% less fans and would be forgotten about now. It's quite hilarious that Khan is the most followed current boxer on twitter with over 2 million followers yet he hasn't even won a world title fight since 2011. His high profile nowhere near matches his ability and achievements. Boxing news sites put out lots of articles about Khan regularly just because they get a lot of hits by his desperate fanbase.

You wouldn't say that at all. Was Salido an undefeated defending would champion who was expecting to win ??Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑06 Jan 2019, 15:37Back when he wasn’t even world level. This is kind of like David Price but at a higher level. A few good rounds and then a helpless KO defeat.
Crawford might be the best pure boxer in the game and unlike many slicksters and "pure boxers" he likes to get his opponent out of there & is a good finisher.
Khan's still around, I'd argue, on there strength of his Olympic bronze medal. Olympians always get advantages and plenty of repeat opportunities.
By the way, you could make a case he didn't beat Maidana. It could easily have been scored a draw. And Khan should have been stopped because he turned his back on his opponent after being staggered. And the fight shouldn't have featured in so many year end awards because despite the considerable drama it was scrappy and amateurish.
