You know after watching that, the first thing that jumps out at me is that Wilt was in fact, rather tall.

Trolls and Trolling is a interesting topic.

It has a subjective side, that the black and white thinkers can't wrap their narrow heads around,

and it has an objective side that the more imaginative folks apparent only see in their peripheral vision. (I'm in the second category).

Since I can't be insulted, and my feelers are pretty well insulated, I don't pay them much mind.

Snowflakes who take great umbrage at all human activity that does not fit into the "Roberts Rules of Order" get their undies bent at every nuanced anomaly including bad spelling.

And I do agree that if Kalan was more civil he would have a place at the table here, but honestly, there is a very tender contingent here that really has a problem with someone who simply has a different opinion. I'm of the opinion that the greatest number of Kalan's detractors were those who took issue with his outlying opinions, more so than his lack of manners.

Neither bothered me much, and it's what I get my greatest amount of poison pen fan mail about..... I'm just too forgiving, and tolerant. However.....I think it's because I have a great deal of room for allowing people to teach us what it is they most have to learn for themselves. It's the guy who puts his finger in the light socket that teaches us best, NOT to do that. lol.

And I suppose I get too much of a kick out of it. I also truly enjoy diversity of opinion. However, there are people here, who just as genuinely believe, that every outlying opinion is someone simply attempting to stir folks up. And that's just plain goofy to my way of thinking. To this day, I believe Kalan, and granberry believed what they said. And I probably agreed with about 25% of what they said as well. I suppose that makes me 25% minority minded. Do they have a DNA test for that?

One of the most controversial Kalan ideas was his "Tall is better" thoughts. And yet......most Heavyweights are indeed taller than the straw weights. So I'm not sure it's Crazy in it's concept even if (in my opinion) it's far more of a nuanced discussion than he seemed to want to grant it to be.

Ah well, keep those pitchforks and torches handy folks......ya never know when the next Dangerous Hombre will drop in and poison our minds with thoughts from the netherworld of pitiful postulating.

Many posters, including me, gave Kalan great credit in his knowledge and creativity. It was his ridiculous insults, and the manner with which they were handed out that I had no use for. You cannot find a poster who has admitted mistakes and gave credit for changing his mind to other posters, more than me.

I never saw anything that should get Kalan banned? And if so, are not bans usually for a week or so? Are we sure that is what happened?

That was my understanding. You'll have to ask a "mod" to be sure.

He was always the showman! I remember when he came out his "ban" and I was so excited to actually see him in action vs Quarry. I still remember the feeling today!

Not a fan of posters who sh=t on fighters....reeks of juvenile trolling. What is worthwhile about that? Nothing to be missed.

You really felt that way about Kalan? He was practically in love with Oliver McCall, as I remember.

I recently watched Mayweather's last fight in Japan. These types of events seem like real money makers, I wonder why they don't come off more often? I guess you need a pretty iconic name to get that kind of thing off the ground...which, I guess is quite the compliment to Floyd Mayweather Jr.

and I suspect Dempsey-Lewis had that kind of magic, but it would have been all Dempsey filling the seats. I sure Hank will disagree but it should have been an 80-20 split and I am also sure The Strangler's ego would never have allowed that to occur.

Precisely. Every time I see him it is so obvious what a one of a kind personality he was blessed with. He was anything but a perfect man obviously, but he owned any room he was in.
