2015 Golovkin vs 2005 Jermain Taylor - an evenly matched fight ??

Post by apollo creed »

Jermain Taylor was the last unified mw champion with solid wins over Hopkins. Who would win this match ? Taylor had a longer reach than GGG. :box:

Taylor would be around 27 y/o and GGG around 33 y/o.

Taylor was a pretty tough competitior. Probably an equivalent version of Jacobs that fought with GGG ?

GGG would have taken some shots early but Taylor’s conditioning would have let him down in the late rounds and GGG would put him away in championship rounds. Taylor was never built for 12 rounds.

2019 version of GGG beats Taylor (if any year) 99% of the time

Didn't see the 2019 version of GGG yet but the GGG from the first Canelo fight I think he'd beat 2005 Taylor.
