Sons who eclipsed their fathers ring achievements?
Re: Sons who eclipsed their fathers ring achievements?
like coco said there are a lot of succesful fighters whose dads were pros but really had no notable careers to speak of.
robert guerros dad was a 0-7 (6) pro
chad dawsons dad was a 1-4 pro
fernando montiels dad was a 7-10 pro
tony harrisons dad was a 11-7 pro
zab judahs dad was a 1-1 pro
thabiso mchunus dad was a 2-6 pro
2x euro champ lukas konecnys dad was a 22-13 pro who didnt get past national level
ken shiros dad had a decent career and was 20-1 but never got past regional level like his world class son did. funny enough ken is 5'5 but his dads 6'4

Here's the article, he was pretty good, records can be deceiving. He dropped MSM and was unlucky to get stopped.

Re: Sons who eclipsed their fathers ring achievements?
I was pointing out that Wally Swift Jr and his father could be an example of a father and son who equalled their ring achievements. An example of a potential third thread, Stuarty set up two, where the father was better and where the son was better. My point is that there are some very rare examples where the father and son achieved equality in their success. Jack London senior and Brian London are possibly a second example of this.

I always thought Cory and a better overall career than Leon.
