WIll this definitely go to bids? I’d be surprised.

But I doubt Fwank has to pay much for this, nor should it be anywhere near PPV unless it’s a co-main event. Which ain’t happening.

Personally I think it’s a good fight for him. A fellow Brit that’s a contender, whom he should beat.

We’ll have to wait and see if a deal is made. Galahad ‘wants’ Hearn to sort it, whether that be come up with a deal before purse bids or win the purse bid. I can’t see Wárren and BT not wanting the defence on BT Sport.

I don't mind this fight. I wouldn't mind seeing Warrington cleanup domestically before for unifying.

Hopefully Warrington dominates from start to finish & silences chirpy Barry.

Hearn might get him a good deal but he’ll never get him on Sky!

Well if Hearn gets him a good deal it should be on Sky, because he’d be promoting it. Unless they come to some solution.

"The planned IBF featherweight eliminator between Kid Galahad and Toka Kahn Clary is on wobbly legs after allegedly, the only participant in the purse bid, won with an offer of $20,000. This is despite Galahad’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, allegedly telling Galahad that he intended to win the bid."
So it seems Eddie is his promoter. Although it also seems Fwank isn't adverse to putting his thrupence in :OhYes:
Given that he boxed Clary a month later on a Hearn show, you'd have to take that with a pinch of salt.

Eddie won’t bid for this - he can’t beat frank in a purse bid in this situation. I dont think Eddie sees any value in Galahad anyway. It’s not the same as Saunders - Andrade which he used DAZN money to pay for as it obviously needs to be staged in Leeds not the US.

Frank has what 75 or 80% on his side...if it came to bids frank would just do a deal to pay Warrington x before the bids and then offer over the top.

The IBF has ordered a purse bid for the mandatory defense of the featherweight title between champion Josh Warrington and #1 ranked contender Kid Galahad. Warrington was ordered to negotiate with Galahad on January 7, 2019.

On January 12, the IBF received a written certification from Eddie Hearn on behalf of Kid Galahad and Matchroom Boxing indicating that they were no longer willing to participate in negotiations and requested an immediate purse bid pursuant to IBF Rule 10A. The purse bid for this bout will take place on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at 12 Noon.

Warrington-Galahad Purse Bid Postponed To February 5

allegedly and Eddie Hearn now have two more weeks to play nice—or two more weeks to completely ignore one another altogether.

A purse bid hearing was looming overhead to determine promotional rights for Josh Warrington’s ordered defense of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) featherweight title versus mandatory challenger Kid Galahad. However, the originally scheduled January 24 date has now been pushed back to February 5.

News of the postponement was confirmed to BS.com by IBF spokesperson Jeanette Salazar. The rescheduled date will still take place at the sanctioning body’s New Jersey headquarters.

As long as this fight isn't a stoppage, JW will get the nod on the cards (I firmly believe Warrington will win anyway most improved boxer in the UK)

Good result for Frank. Not entirely sure it's PPV worthy, but you could make a strong case it's a better fight than some of the PPV's Whyte's been involved in.

Could you?

Would you rather see this over Whyte vs Parker or Whyte vs Chisora 2?

Not much in it.

I'd prefer this fight to Whyte/Breazeale which looks likely to be on PPV.

i think warrington on pts.

galahad is a tricky customer though.

he certainly won't be standing his ground like frampton did.

I think Warrington in his current form has the beating of everyone in the division his size, strength, stamina and work rate are super impressive and don’t think he’s reached his peak yet
