I think boxing is biggest here in the UK, it's also big in Ukraine, Mexico, Russia, USA, but mma is seeing a lot more of a rise too

You are just listing the nations that are GOOD at boxing.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's the most popular sports in them countries.

Boxing is not in the top 10 most popular sports in UK or USA, and there is hardly any pro boxing shows in Ukraine and they didn't even have the money to fund a WSB team in recent seasons whereas India ,China, Venezeula, Colombia did have WSB teams

Ukrainian people are true fighting men. They excel at boxing without getting anything on a plate and without making any excuses.

People always used to bang on about India having 1 billion people and not one Ronaldinho. Truth is, most people in India would rather play cricket. Football isn’t a top sport. So you can’t compare a countries population and how many world class boxers they produce. Doesn’t work like that.

People always used to bang on about India having 1 billion people and not one Ronaldinho. Truth is, most people in India would rather play cricket. Football isn’t a top sport. So you can’t compare a countries population and how many world class boxers they produce. Doesn’t work like that.

Yet despite Cricket being the most popular sport there they usually get their ass kicked at cricket by Austrailia - population 20 million and South Africa 50 million when Cricket is only like the 4/5th most popular sport in them countries.

Football is the 2nd most popular sport in India, Liverpool and Man Utd have massive fanbases there. Yet they they are hopelessly embarassingly terrible at it/ couldn't be any worse .and all the descendants. estonia, Luxembourg and Curacao are above them in the Fifa rankings LOL. . I've lived around Indian descendants in the UK all my life and Football is number 1 to them loads of them watch it and play it, and they have their own asian football leagues - yet guess what none of them never get to any decent level. They simply suck at all athletic sports in a big way.

To have 1.4 Billion people ( double the whole of europe combined!) and many more living around the world and to have the results they have, it's shockingly bad, you can't make any excuses whatsoever with the amount of people they have.

Yeh. Even in Spain Basketball is very popular.

Not making excuses for countries having a big population. It’s not all about an amateur system either. You’re either good at boxing or not.. a lot of boxers in the UK fight for hardly anything. Just about cover their opponents purse.
