its not his size, its his toughness and workrate, todays era is also weak, joshua came close to disaster against 40 year old wlad.oogiebe wrote: ↑07 Jan 2019, 17:19 You guys are overrating Vitali. Don't be over impressed by his size..it was a pretty weak era. He was tough, but against lesser opposition. He had a chin, but he got stunned more often than most of us remember (watch Corrie Sanders). Let's just ease off any thoughts of him being dominant in today's division. He wasn't that good.

I'm not advocating for today's HW division. He was tough; he was busy; and he did it against relatively weak opposition. The top three today are on a different level then the rest of the division. They are better than what Vitali faced during his. The rest are on par.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑07 Jan 2019, 21:32its not his size, its his toughness and workrate, todays era is also weak, joshua came close to disaster against 40 year old wlad.oogiebe wrote: ↑07 Jan 2019, 17:19 You guys are overrating Vitali. Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
id say vitali was as good as any of the top 3 today all have flaws.
Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
As good? He's tougher than Wilder and AJ maybe. He's on par size wise. His skills were never good. Hands down...using his height and reach on defense wouldn't work against any of the three. He's not as powerful a puncher as Wilder or AJ. Fury is levels ahead in skills. I just don't think he rates here.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑07 Jan 2019, 21:39 id say vitali was as good as any of the top 3 today all have flaws.

furys skills are mainly defensive his offensive skills are lacking. AJ has decent skills and serious power, wilder is crude as hell with good stamina and one punch power.oogiebe wrote: ↑07 Jan 2019, 21:42As good? He's tougher than Wilder and AJ maybe. Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
He was wrestled to the bloody floor. Nevermind the elbow Sanders landed in the flurry beforehand. The shot stunned him, is that a bad thing?Tuan_Jim wrote: ↑07 Jan 2019, 19:05 Sanders certainly rocked him. You could have scored it a KD as he hit the floor not long after, as Sanders was flinging some follow ups. Slip or KD? Depends on the ref. If Wilder jolted him with that right, he wouldn't gas trying to get him out of there, like old perma-gut Corrie.
Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
Yeah, I wouldn't call that knockdown. There was flailing and wresting going on. But, Vitali was stunned.SAPFO wrote: ↑08 Jan 2019, 11:59He was wrestled to the bloody floor. Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
it clearly wasnt a kd, its obvious sanders cuffed him down and no punch landed at the time, though he was hurt

Lewis hurt him. I don't think there is any question he had a good chin. I don't know it's as granite as people want it to be because of, again, his piss poor opposition.

Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
true though lewis was a legit big puncher and was landing huge flush shots on him but didnt drop him....that uppercut
Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
Can't be proven, but I think Lewis would have ended up getting to him. PS: After watching Sanders/Vitali, I'm wondering what would have happened if Corrie came in at 225 rather than 235. He seemed gassed before he started getting beat on.
Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
i doubt it wouldve changed much, the others guys have been hurt worse anyway, what if there opponents followed up more etc, sanders just not good enough
i dont rate vitali but some of this stuff ppl are going on about isnt really a big deal imo and can be found just as much in the others . im pretty sure vitali has a hard time with alll 3, ill say beats wilder (but can also see dw cutting him up) but lloses to the other 2

mmmm punch a football and kick a football........not much competition. then tell me if you want your chin punched or kicked!!thechump wrote: ↑03 Jan 2019, 05:54But wilder hits harder than pele reid kicks so i dont know if wilder,if he caught vitali, could k.o him. Joshua would struggle i thinkdanconnollyeire wrote: ↑03 Jan 2019, 05:25 I think the only one who could beat him is Fury and not because Fury is better than Vitali was, just that his awkward movement/faints would make him hard to tag. Vitali had a ridiculous chin. Neither AJ or Wilder would outbox him

The muscles of the legs are incredible powerful, the gluteals are the biggest muscle group in the body, I believe the quads are the second biggest - anybody trainer to kick properly is going to generate enormous force. There's absolutely no way Wilder generates more force with a punch than Pele Reid would with a kick, not even close.

Isn’t it considerably easier to land a clean shot on the chin for a ko with a punch than with a kick though?jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑08 Jan 2019, 17:11The muscles of the legs are incredible powerful, the gluteals are the biggest muscle group in the body, I believe the quads are the second biggest - anybody trainer to kick properly is going to generate enormous force. Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
Same fight. Sanders stamina was shit at any weight. He was a golfer and vitalis best win. Lol, Nate tubes...There's a one punch artist.
Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
Who would you say is vitali's best win? Sanders? Hide? Briggs? Peters? Tbh he hasnt fought anyone really and there were plenty around in his time,i think he is over rated and wilder fury and Joshua have fought better class of opponent than he has.
Re: Prime Vitali vs Fury/Wilder/Joshua?
Sanders, as the last poster stated. I agree with your post, BTW!

No doubt, Joshua has a better resume already. Not even close really. I'd say Sanders, none are of note really. Waste of a career

What heavyweight champion has the best resume in history would you say? Id have to say the great AliOnetimeonly wrote: ↑08 Jan 2019, 18:53No doubt, Joshua has a better resume already. Not even close really. I'd say Sanders, none are of note really. Waste of a career
