UK vs USA Heavyweight boxing match

Post by dagilechia »

UK vs USA

Anthony Joshua vs Deontay Wilder
Tyson Fury vs Jarrell Miller
Dillian Whyte vs Dominic Breazeale
Dereck Chisora vs Bryant Jennings
Hughie Fury vs Michael Hunter

who would win this match? i think that the result would be 3-2 for UK (winners: Hunter, Jennings, Whyte, T Fury, Joshua). but if i swip Miller with Breazeale i would have it 3-2 USA.

At this stage?
AJ
DW
Jennings
Hunter
3-2 UK. Agree on Miller/Breazeale swap.

Joshua KO Wilder
Fury 120-108 Miller - Easy night for Fury. Even if he wins a couple of rounds, Miller doesn't have the 1 punch power to trouble Fury.
Whyte 117-111 Breazeale - Some competitive action but Whyte's superior skills and engine wins the fight.
Chisora 115-113 Jennings - A motivated Chisora (both Whyte fights) is a bit too strong for Jennings, IMO. The Chisora that fought Kabayel in Monaco gets outpointed comfortably.
Fury 113-115 Hunter - Cagey fight. Lots of holding. The odd pot shot. Split decision but Hunter lets his hands go slightly more to win.

UK wins 4-1. Can also see 3-2.

What about 6-10? If we did it based off BoxRec rankings then it'd be Hughie vs Charles Martin, which Hughie probably wins. And then 6-10 would be Gorman vs Ruiz, Joyce vs Hunter, Allen vs Washington, Dubois vs Bryan and Price vs Arreola.

Boy that really says it all about the division. Outside 6/7 it's not too good. Gorman vs Ruiz??? H.Fury vs Martin??? Dubois vs Bryan??? Price vs Arreola??? Yuck! The best fight or at least most interesting, in the 6-10 seems to be Joyce vs Hunter! :o

I think Joyce would be too big for Hunter. He fights at a terrific pace so I think the size would eventually tell. I think it will take an elite mover (Usyk) or a very good mover who can match him for size (Fury) to outbox him for 12 rounds. I think Joyce's biggest problems will be when he fights the punchers who can exploit his lack of defence.

Hunter was on the right track, when he was facing big fellas in his HW bouts, so I don't think, that Joyce's size will matter Michael much. Hunter will probably win Joyce indeed.

Hunter docent really have any good wins at cruiser-weight or heavyweight. his best performance is probably managing to snag a few rounds of usyk and go the distance. havent seen tons of him but ill defiantly try keep an eye on him but yea, far from sold yet. from what iv seen I think Joyce is too big, too strong, and too fit and would eventually find the KO. joyce needs to stepup to gauge properly though.

How many decent wins does Joyce have?

Great Matchups.

My guesses are:

Wilder by KO

Fury by unanimous decision

Whyte by KO

Chisora by close decision

Hunter by close decision

Not sure of any, of course, but I'm most confident that Whyte would beat Breazeale.
