Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
I’m hearing from a few different sources that this fight is currently being negotiated for April at Wembley. Even Bunce mentioned it on his Radio 5 show.
Thoughts?
I’d probably watch before I think I’d rather see Wlad stay retired.

Won't happen but if it did Wlad would get battered.

Wlad is old as fvck and has not looked like the former champ since Pulev.
Whyte would kill him

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
If Wlad has anything left then he deals with Whyte comfortably. Unfortunately I don't think he does.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
I'd pick even AJ bout version of Wlad over Whyte. But if Wlad comes back right now, who knows, can he be enough prepared or not. Usually not much good happens in his age and after such lay offs.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
It won't fill Wembley
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
Whyte's a solid contender who would be a handful for anyone. Wlad can't comeback now and win this.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
It's funny, I was just thinking the other day that with all the chatter about Joshua fighting in New York and Brook/Khan not happening, what's the deal with Wembley?
There can't be many fights that would sell over 40k so do they just put on an event like this to try and make a little bit of profit or can they just cancel the booking? Would Whyte/Klitschko make enough to cover costs?

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
I'm bucking the trend here. Wlad wins this easily. Even if he has little left, Wlad has the power, the size and the skill. He'd knock Whyte out within 8 rounds.
Looks at Whyte's last 6 fights:
Chisora I - He lost
Tann - Keep busy fight
Helenius - He's always been crap, but a good pts win
Browne - Could have bee a test, if Browne actually trained for it
Parker - Good win - but he was life and death at the end, with Wlads power advantage it's not going to go well
Chisora II - He won with a knockout, but was losing the fight at that point.
Yes, Whyte is probably number 4 or 5 in the world, but he's not really that good. He deserves a shot at Joshua, but lets be honest we all know how that ends. In Wlad's last fight he wasn't that far off beating Joshua.
Wlad beats Whyte by knockout
I'd watch it!!!

Can't believe most are picking Whyte. Wlad mullers him.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
Seeing Wlad at this stage of his career knock out Whyte would be amusing, especially so because Hearn will only look to make it knowing Wlad has drawing power and that he and Whyte will understandly think Wlad is completely shot and it will be an easy fight for more money than they could generate for any other Whyte opponent bar Joshua.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
A few people were talking about Whyte vs Povetkin last week, now that would be good.

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
Yeah... Wlad would've stayed in shape, he's one of them guys. He'll still be strong as a ox… we moved pretty well vs AJ. Whyte is built exactly like the type of fighters WK used to jab to death, I’m not convinced Whyte wins this. I’m not sure the left hook Whyte has become famous for is the punch that beats Wlad. He can judge distance really well and ever time Whyte steps in for the left hook, Wlad either takes a step back or forward and grabs him (just like the Povetkin fight). The punches that Wlad struggle with are right hands over the jab… AJ turned over a great uppercut, I’m not sure Whyte has that in his Arsenal
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
I really don't think Wlad would be the type to comeback without being calculating and almost "scientific" about how much he had left..... if he'd came back I'd be confident that he'd be knowing he can handle most if not all he intends to fight.
Klitchsko TKO 9. Too big, too strong, too skilful.

Except I wouldnt watch it, at least defo wouldnt pay £20 to watch it. Whyte is an average fighter and Klit is an old man that retired years ago!

Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
Who has seen any actual sources reporting this?
I heard the Bunce podcast and when he said Wlad was possibly coming back for a British opponent that wasn’t Fury or Joshua, I assumed he meant Whyte, but has anyone actually reported that?
I just can’t imagine why Wlad would want to do it.

Maybe he knows he can win. If he does, he'd probably be installed as WBC mandatory lol... he's never won that belt. But possibly it's all BSleejonesjnr wrote: ↑11 Jan 2019, 07:43 Who has seen any actual sources reporting this?

I'd be interested. It would be one of wlads best wins if he could pull it off and would definitely enhance his historical ranking.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
When did Whyte suddenly become a killer who smashed Wlad? After the first or second time he went life and death with Dereck flipping Chisora?

I'm not being funny, but when people talk about Wlad's career defining fights, I'd be surprised if Whyte is top 10Onetimeonly wrote: ↑11 Jan 2019, 09:19 I'd be interested. It would be one of wlads best wins if he could pull it off and would definitely enhance his historical ranking.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko vs Dillian Whyte
It would be in the context of coming back at 42 and beating a top 5 heavyweight. Yeah, it would enhance his historical ranking.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑11 Jan 2019, 11:04I'm not being funny, but when people talk about Wlad's career defining fights, I'd be surprised if Whyte is top 10Onetimeonly wrote: ↑11 Jan 2019, 09:19 I'd be interested.
