Haney RBR

Post by TheLeprechaun »

First fight stopped due to AL HAYMON not being able to provide a ring with the correct rope work. This is a joke

Looks like they gave Ruben Villa a bloated "undefeated" bum tonight. Dude is slow as hell for a featherweight. Lets hope the main event isnt more of the same with another fake step up fight then again Haney isnt losing a fight on a Devin Haney Promotions card unless he's laid out on his back.

Willie Jake was a joke. He went down from a flurry that didnt even connect solidly. After the rope delay he apparently decided it was time to get a quick paycheck and call it a night.

Ndongeni, on the other hand, came to win but he just didnt have the tools to stay with Haney. I really think if Haney had gotten more committed to the body attacks he mounted in the 5th and 10th rounds he could have taken Ndongeni out. His dad was telling him to go to the body more, but other than the 5th and 10th rounds he wasnt as serious about it as he should have been. Nonetheless a good performance and good learning experience for the 20-year-old.

The promoter was Amber Bishop not Al Haymon.

I thought Haney was very committed to the body attack. Some guys just won't go, it wasn't any lack of effort on Haney's part that failed to get the stoppage. He fought very well, and was pretty damn aggressive in going for the stoppage.

And yeah that Heavyweight knockout was a joke. That last shot that caught him on the way down seemed like a shot that would legitimately hurt, but nothing had landed that should've been putting him down in the first place. He went down from punches he'd caught on his gloves. Pretty pathetic.
