According to the 1947-01-21 edition of the Montreal-based newspaper La Presse, Leo Methot lost by decision against Jimmy Carter at the Montreal Forun on 1947-01-20. Even more interestingly, according to the 1953-02-11 edition of the Montreal-based newspaper La Patrie, the Jimmy carter that won against Methot is the former lightweight champion of the world, and not some unknown "Jimmy Carter" who fought just one time (as BoxRec now says).
