Hatton needs to get back to light welter and he won't want to do it without fighting for a title. With the IBF and WBA being vacant and not going to be fought for by big names and Cotto v Castillo looking likely if they both win their next fights, Hatton v Witter for the WBC (providing Witter beat Corely) makes most sense.

I still think the Gatti v Baldomir winner is most likely

They'll refuse to show him Vs Witter so he won't fight him. :x
it was HBO's fornicating fault he went up to welter. they wouldn't approve rabbah or mbaye title defenses, in a nutshell the twits made him give up his titles
Yeah, I read some article on ESB that Graham is blaming HBO thinking he should be a two weight champ.

Because of American tv were not going to get good fights now! :x

Maybe except for Mayweather, but no Witter. :x
Witter has to get by Chop Chop first, no guarantees of that at all.

Has a date or venue been suggested for this fight? Nothing in the Boxrec schedule and Witter has not fought since Lynes in October - a long lay off.

Well, there's probably not the most furious bidding war going on. Who promotes Corley these days?

Yep, just look at JM Marquez, fornicator got stripped because nobody was interested in promoting his fight and so he didn't defend his title. Ridiculous situation really, just the sort of thing that highlights why boxing is such a poorly organised sport. It's like the world cup not happening because no country wanted to host it.

Is Witter still with Hennessy? If thats the case you would think him and the golden boy could work something out. Even if its not a massive fight in the UK as an investment it has to be worth it if they believe Witter can win.
