The next undisputed champion ?

Post by ValMar »

This is the best achievement in the modern boxing, I have not any dilemma. So, what do you predict ?

None of the above. Best chance is obviously one of the heavyweights.

I think Lomachenko has a better chance of being undisputed at lw than any heavyweight.

Hurd is a decent shout, Harrison/Jermell are with PBC. It’s Jaime Munguia who may be the issue.

It's a tough quest to a huge extent just because of f*cking negotiating processes. However, as it has already been mentioned, today it's more simple at the HWs. That's why I pick The Gypsy King.

He will move up before that could happen.

I think either Prograis or Taylor will come out on top at SLW.

If Zurdo moves up to LHW, there is an argument to put Callum Smith at the top of SMW :maybe:

It would take only one fight for either Joshua or Wilder so it would make sense its one of them two but theres the Fury factor to consider... Id pick him to beat both.

It's just so much more difficult these days with the number of belts; promotional agreements; etc. It's hard to fathom it happening at any weight class. I guess HW would be my division pick. It could take only one or two fights for it to happen.

If forced to pick one of the fighters...safe pick for me is Joshua. He's the more balanced of the top three.

I’d love to see Hurd sign on with the other two champs to be the first. I love this guy’s style and he’s just a good dude. Imagine how great of a fight he and Munguia would be? That’s a battle between men that say FU to defense and come forward throwing sizzle steaks. Yes please

I've been sorta hoping that if Uysk decides to drop the CW belts, there could be a super fight for all of them.
I hate it when they scatter to the wind- like after Crawford moved up :verysad:

Anthony Joshua is significantly closer than anyone else. He can be undisputed with just one more fight against Wilder. I guess, from a different perspective, Wilder is also one win away, if he manages to take all of Joshua's belts.

Alvarez is two wins away (against Jacobs and Andrade). But DLH tweeted that his next fight will be against Golovkin, putting him minimum 3 fights away.

Jarrett Hurd is two wins away (against Harrison and Munguia). Although I don't see any reason why a Hurd - Harrison rematch would be made.

The WBSS 140-pound tournament doesn't include Maurice Hooker. So the winner would be one fight away from undisputed.

Anyone who beats Usyk at cruiserweight would become the next undisputed. Though, Lebedev getting a shot at Usyk and beating him is a double longshot. It's more likely that Usyk will vacate all of the belts, and then nobody will be close to unifying.

Any other name, on or off the poll, is not very close at all.

Seriously? :-? He may be facing Denis Lebedev next at cruiserweight? :-? Eddie Hearn has also recently mentioned pitting one of his light heavyweights to face Usyk at 200lbs.

I voted for Lomachenko but that was before Hearn offered Wilder 60/40? I have to change my vote to Joshua or rather to 2/3 Joshua and 1/3 Wilder. :OhYes:

So because he might be facing Lebedev next it means that he's staying at CW forever? Un-Enlightened One, you are a joke.

If Usyk does in fact face Lebedev next, it most probably takes him out of having a HW title shot until early 2020, IF he moves up after that. I'm inclined to think that Usyk moves up now and passes up the Lebedev fight, as it really does nothing for his career. Just thinking I'd love to Usyk take on Agit Kabayel as his first HW matchup.

commey and chaniev are fighting for the vacant ibf at 135, and arum says both guys have already signed to fight loma if they win, so that would make a 3 belt holder

The winner of the WBSS for the Bantamweight and Lightweight tourney could be the next undisputed champion.

Probably Taylor/Pograis and Donaire/Inoue
