I hope Green can 'out tough' the sometimes fragile Mundine.

I understand they are hoping to break the record attendance for an aussie fight, which is currently held by the Fenech - Nelson rematch.

That was over 40,000 so the interest for this fight must be massive down under!

Mundine is seen as the 'bad guy' in this fight, because of his outspoken views. He say what he thinks, but is not always thinking of the consequences of what he says. Mundine said some things about 9/11 that were taken very badly in Australia and the US.

Green is seen as the 'Good guy' a hard working , hard punching Aussie.

Its certainly going to be interesting fight, Green will walk through walls to get at Mundine, who will be looking to outbox Green with his fast hands and better boxing skills.

going purely on who i like more, i'm picking Green to spring a bit of a surprise with a mid round stoppage

I wont get the chance to watch it, even on a stream, but it would be awesome if anyone who is could do a round-by-round.

I dont think Mundine brings enough to win this one.

Fight is on in a couple of hours, there's a few Aussie radio stations broadcasting it apparently, not sure which ones yet..

Do you reckon Green actualy requested that hair cut? Or is the barber currently wrapped in bandages at casualty?

Yeah that is the classic 'Jarhead' hair cut......

I like Green, a real fighter's fighter. Mundine is too chippy and unpleasant I hope he gets hammered.

PS not that I'm into looking at men's pant bulge, but doesn't that photo look like Green has an erection?

Its kind of like the Aussie equivilent of Benn v Eubank, shame its not on tv over here as the fight looks like its gonna be a good one.

well done to Mundine, presumably he used a stick and move type strategy to good effect...
I guess that makes him number 4 in the world (after Joe, Markus and Kessler) although I think Bute would beat him...

Doesn't sound like he used a stick and move at all, sounds like the two of them went at it for most of the fight.

A bit shocked at this one, perhaps Green is faded or simply a little overated - probably a combination of the two.

I could hardly make a case for Mundine before the fight though.

I know it was an eliminator for the WBA title, but I don't want to see Kessler and Mundine at it - would rather see Anthony fight Beyer.

To be fair the Ottke fight was more exhaustion than anything else.. maybe his chin isnt that bad after all???

Kessler can whack and he didnt drop him either...

Also gotta remember what a novice Mundine was back against Ottke... perhaps his defence and ability to roll with the punches has improved...

all guess work from me as i havent seen the Green fight, or the Kessler fight

I'm not surprised at all. Muninde is the #3 s-m in my book.

All true, plus people tend to belittle the KO loss to Ottke - but losing to Ottke close to Ottke's peak is no shame whatsoever. And Mundine got Ottke into deep waters.
