It will be amusing if Haymon poaches Whyte from Hearn. Dillian is smart to have a rolling contract like that, aswell.
Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
Haymon the money man
What fighter wouldn't wanna be with him

Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
Surely just posturing to get Eddie to bump up his offer for the rematch with AJ?
All this talk about him being a PPV star, think he'll be in for a shock to see his numbers on ITV away from Sky with all the hype & support they give to generating big sales on PPV.

Poor man. Doesn’t even know what he’s on about! Hearn did say he gonna offer him another deal.

Also Breazeale has said he interested in fighting Whyte.
Imagine that on ITV Box Office!! Lol

Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
He's headlined back to back PPV's against Joseph Parker coming off a loss and Dereck Chisora with like, 8 defeats? Highly likely that he gets a world title shot in 2019. Hardly being mistreated is he?

Breazeale wants to fight everyone and fights no one.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Jan 2019, 18:38 Also Breazeale has said he interested in fighting Whyte.

Whyte said he’s self-managed. Knows his worth. Well that’s kinda Matchroom and Sky’s fault.
Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
Yeah, called himself a 'free-agent.' Not sure that's advantageous these days unless you hold a belt.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑17 Jan 2019, 20:08Whyte said he’s self-managed. Knows his worth. Well that’s kinda Matchroom and Sky’s fault.
Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
Got a feeling , he may be sorry he's biting the hand thats kept him well fed , Suppose he can go sign with Haymon , and then refuse the Joyce fight , He's not in a good spot is he , He's built himself up since his AJ defeat , but only with the backing of Matchroom , who have managed to convince the public him fighting a so so Brown , a gatekeeper Chisora , and a vikng coming for a last payday , were good competetive fights , and even then he's struggled ,
To get offerred the AJ fight was really retirement money with the hope he can pull out a hail mary left hook and win 4 belts , or get beat and still carry on in Chisoras gate keeper role ,,
I think the guy needs to get a new manager , someone who's not got his head in the clouds .
Too be honest though getting a bit sick of hearing all this entitlement bollocks from the heavyweights , would like to see Hearn cut him loose , and see where he goes from there , Haymon and a Joyce fight . Haye and chisora 3 , Ortiz and get his ass kicked , see if he can get ppv without Hearn ,

Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
he's been on fine form and deserves a shot, but it is a shame when fighters talk this way publicly. It's off putting enough from Joshua, but he's the big name and he has the potential to become the biggest name in the sport. Yet, he's the one who should be setting an example. Obviously, boxers are increasingly self aware. The more the names at the top do it, the more the secondary names will do it, such as Whyte. It's been getting more this way, for a long time.
Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
I can see his problem. There is a conflict of interest with him, AJ & Hearn

I like Whyte. Admire the way he has come from the small show scene to what he is now. He's made the most of his partnership with Matchroom and his ability actually.
I get the Joshua issue, but I think he'd have the shock of his life if he moved from Matchroom.

I don't see how it can't be in Whytes case. He's one of Hearns few established PPV fighters now that Bellew has retired, and he's got Haymom possibly offering him a lot of money to fight on his events.oogiebe wrote: ↑17 Jan 2019, 20:12Yeah, called himself a 'free-agent.' Being tied down to a contract only limits his income in those circumstances. Now if he was an unpopular fighter who couldn't sell tickets like when he first joined matchroom, that would be a different story.

Can't stop myself thinking it's a bit satisfying if someone comes along and nicks eddies fighters. Recall him hoovering up plenty of established talent a few years back.
Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
does being a free agent just mean hes self managed, or not signed to any promoter, cant be arsed to watch

Re: Dillian whyte in talks with haymon
i heard its hard to do that, most promoters want more commitment , i think more fighters would do it if they could
