What keeps him relevant is the fact that most of fans wants to see him lose. He's not being hyped in the past 6 years, he's just relevant because he has a villain type of character. If you're looking for someone who's hyped you should look for the likes of Khan.
Khan isn't hyped as a great fighter. He seems to fight anyone and even when he's KTFO, it's a good watch.

He’s a coward. Knowing full well that he is losing almost every round, he doesn’t have the balls to go all out for the n Knockout, despite having decent power and speed. Instead he just sits back doing his same old shimmy shimmy bullcrap and takes the loss. Then he starts rambling and making excuses

Certainly more enjoyable to watch. Broner is a thug.

Khan is infinitely more entertaining than that the boorish B rate Mayweather. AB can't quite match his career role model in defence or power but surpasses him in being even more disagreeable and throwing even less punches.

I hope Manny doesn't get too carried away by winning the shadowboxing session last Saturday. Errol Spence is in a completely different league to Broner. Still, it's been a great strategy for About Billions so far netting huge earnings for very little action.

Amir Khan on the other hand really believes himself too good and too flashy to adopt the Mayweather defence first strategy - and all his opponents know it.

I was just talking about their resumes. Entertainment value it's even more vast in Khan's favor.
