I'm being cordial Mex. Is that what you are saying here?Mexi-Box wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 15:32Sorry, I forgot, you can't read.oogiebe wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 14:58Just so I understand. You are saying that Povetkin won just about every round from AJ and almost stopped him?Mexi-Box wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 14:52
I don't think losing just about every round and almost getting stopped yourself before a stoppage is considered destroying anyone. Povetkin is horrifically past prime, yet he's still a top fighter. Why do you automatically go for a KO win? Does it matter at all? Povetkin's resume and time in the top 10 speaks for itself.
Pulev made ridiculously easy work of Chisora. Why not talk about that. Wilder doesn't batter anyone. People were saying he'd batter Fury, but Fury schooled him. AJ struggled with past prime version of both Povetkin and Klitschko. You need a better argument than that.

lol when did pov almost stop aj? what round
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
First round or second when he hits AJ with an uppercut and staggers him back. Povetkin not the same killer that was running through the division, though. If that was the Povetkin from a few years back, Joshua would've been stopped there.

I respectfully disagree. I thought that out of all of Joshuas more recent opponents, Povetkin put up one of the better showings, despite no longer being in his prime.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑21 Jan 2019, 11:30Are they though? Povetkin's only decent KO win in a few years is David Price who gets KO'd by wind. AJ destroyed himMexi-Box wrote: ↑18 Jan 2019, 19:02oogiebe wrote: ↑18 Jan 2019, 12:38
He's not George Foreman, who came back at what, 36/37? Wlad was a chinny fighter who benefited from a relatively weak era of contenders. Part of me wants to see him come back and a bigger part doesn't. But, if can make a good buck and not lose his marbles while doing so, best of luck to him. (he'll need it),Weak era? Povetkin and Pulev are still top fighters, ffs. You may as well say this era is even weaker considering those two are still hanging strong, very strong.
Pulev had some trouble with Hughie Fury ffs, if he hurt Pulev, Wilder and AJ batter him
He was catching AJ with a decent amount of shots in the early round.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
I wouldn't mind so long as he was matched reasonably. I don't really care to see Wlad against any of the Top 3 guys right now I'd rather see him fight some of the guys from Top 10-20 just to see how he looks against those types. If he is indeed gonna come back that is.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
I guess that is what the three fight deal is for. Start with a toe in the water and take it from there.
Unless it's for Wilder, Fury and Joshua
Unless it's for Wilder, Fury and Joshua
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
I really can't see him coming back, unless he has money woes. It can't end well for him, as I'm sure his aim is a title shot.

Yeah I think he's missing the attention and wants to emulate Big George.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
He wouldn't be the first professional athletes who squandered his bankroll. I do doubt it, but he can't be dumb enough to come back and think he's winning a title. AJ is a lot better fighter than he was the first time they met. Nothing from his history shows he can stay away from Wilder for 12 rounds. And a motivated Fury would handle him more convincingly than the first time.gilgamesh wrote: ↑22 Jan 2019, 16:52He surely doesn't have money woes. He was one of the top paid athletes on the planet for years running.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
Team Wilder might just fancy the job now. Wlad fits the profile. Massive name that adds credibility to the resume yet at 43 should be relatively easy pickings.
Re: Wladimir Klitschko has discussed 3-fight deal with DAZN
He'd get to Wlad early. Wlad can't use his height and reach like he did in his prime, with someone who is longer and taller. He's a sucker for Wilder's overhand right. Of course Wilder haters would come back and say, he was old and not the same Wlad that lost to AJ and Fury. Same old same old.

Well I think Fury showed us Wlad isn't comfortable being the shorter man and lesser punchers than Wilder have knocked him out. The Wlad that fought Joshua has the guile to outbox him, but time moves on and it's a huge ask for him to get into that shape again even if he is a regular at the gym.oogiebe wrote: ↑22 Jan 2019, 17:40He'd get to Wlad early. I don't think Wlad is any kind of sucker but his reflexes might not be up to keeping clear of that right hand for twelve rounds. I really wouldn't want to see him try. He should put his feet up and enjoy the good life.
