Bivol vs. Canelo (168), who wins ?
Bivol vs. Canelo (168), who wins ?
Bivol announced he is interested to face Beterbiev, C. Smith and Canelo.
I suppose that it would be too risky for Canelo, and likely he would not accept this fight, but who knows.
What do you think about this match ?
Is Bivol capable to make weight for SMW ?
What about the judges/referee ?

Re: Bivol vs. Canelo (168), who wins ?
Bivol is a very decent fighter but a tad overrated. I also feel that he doesn't punch hard enough to stop Canelo.
The Mexican is also likely to include a rehydration clause in their 168lbs bout.
I'd have to favour Canelo to gain a decision victory or even a late stoppage over a weight-drained Bivol.

who wins bivol vs ggg
Re: Bivol vs. Canelo (168), who wins ?
Hopefully he just gets Beterbiev, but Bivol seems like a slender Light Heavyweight. I think he could make 168 with relative ease, and still compete comfortably.
Doubtful Canelo will bother with that. He'll have his hands plenty full with Danny Jacobs in May.

Canelo.
Much more pro experience. A slew of huge fights on his resume.
Barrera, Chilemba and faded Pascal don't adequately prepare Bivol for elite competition.
It's very possible that Bivol would also be a bit weakened at 168 also. He's always been a solid light heavy.

Haven't seen enough of Gvozdyk to be certain.jamamb wrote: ↑23 Jan 2019, 14:41SenorPipino wrote: ↑23 Jan 2019, 14:34 Canelo.

Has that solid amateur background, but his professional resume pales in comparison to Canelo.
Like Bivol, Gvozdyk has relatively scant pro experience, although his opposition has been solid if not spectacular.
But on the other hand you're asking Canelo to move up to light heavy.
He only had 1 fight at 168 and now plans to move back to 160 for Jacobs.
Talking about him fighting 175 pound champions seems somewhat premature.

Re: Bivol vs. Canelo (168), who wins ?
Gvozdyk, Bivol, Beterbiev all badly hurt Canelo at 175. Beterbiev for sure can't get down to 168, but the other two if they can will beat Canelo at that weight too.

I am sure Gvozdyk cannot get down to 168 too, and if, he would be badly dehydrated. All these guys are just too big for Alvarez, nothing bad to know your limits.boxing_rocks wrote: ↑23 Jan 2019, 15:25 Gvozdyk, Bivol, Beterbiev all badly hurt Canelo at 175.
