Now Carlos Takam is calling out Derek Chisora!

Heavyweight contender Carlos Takam believes the scenario is perfect for a rematch with Derek Chisora.

Last July, Takam was battering Chisora for seven rounds and appeared to be on his way to a stoppage win. And then Chisora caught Takam cold in the eight, dropping him down twice for a come from behind knockout victory.

Takam came back in style last month, when he knocked out Senad Gashi on the undercard to Chisora's rematch with Dillian Whyte.

As far as the main event that night, Chisora was ahead on the cards when he was knocked out cold by Whyte in the eleventh round.

While Takam wants revenge, Chisora is likely going to take it easy for his next fight.

"It's true, I do want revenge," Takam exclusively told Sky Sports.

"With all the respect due to Derek, the first fight was an accident. It happens. As we say back home, sometimes even the snake can tumble. If I can fight Derek one more time, it won't be the same story. I will completely correct what happened.

"They put on a great show for the fans but we knew whatever happened, Dillian had more of a chance of winning than Chisora did. I have heard he prepared and trained very well for the rematch with Whyte and he is very disappointed losing it."

Takam's manager Christian Cerchi would love to do the rematch.

"It makes sense, a rematch with Chisora, because the first one was a great fight," Cerchi said.

"We are working closely with Matchroom and even if Chisora is working with David Haye now, I am sure they would be interested in this one.

"Wembley Stadium would be perfect. Anthony Joshua is the only one who can do the main event there, so we will have to wait."

Who's next? Oh yeah. Dillon Carman is going to rematch Simon Kean!

I don't see Chisora wasting his time with Chisora. He already won and it was his biggest win.
What kind of money can it bring to the table? I don't think too much.
It's a waste of time to do it for Chisora. He'd be better taking more money fighting an up and coming contender who is looking for a name on their resume

Agreed. But he may think since he was ahead on scorecards that his gatekeeper time hasn't yet arrived. Takam wouldn't be a fight he needs to make, though.

Can't blame takam, I'd watch it. Makes sense for chisora too as he probably doesn't want to and they're not quite ready for the inevitable run with the young Brits.

It's a superfight compared to Oquendo/Charr.

I can understand Takam wanting it but Chisora might not want to put himself through that again. He was taking a bit of a hiding up until he turned it around.

If I were Chisora I'd probably be chasing a Kabayel rematch for the Euro title, although I think Wallin is first in line so that may not be a short term goal. I'd like to see him fight Christian Hammer.

Dereck Chisora will probably earn more money fighting someone like David Price, Dave Allen or Lucas Browne than he would engaging in a rematch against Carlos Takam.

The Brit successfully employed rope-a-dope tactics to wear down and stop the Frenchman, meaning that the scorecards were irrelevant, based on the strategy he intentionally employed. So I don’t think Chisora would have any reason or real motivation to fight Takam again. It doesn’t advance his career, but money talks, so who knows what the future holds?

I’d like to see Chisora enjoy a relatively soft comeback fight against an opponent of Tom Little’s ilk, before making a jump in class prior to facing David Price, Dave Allen or Lucas Browne. This journeyman presents himself well to the media and his recent stoppage loss to David Price was fairly controversial in nature. So I think a Chisora-Little fight would be fairly entertaining for five rounds or so and a decent undercard bout to one of AJ’s PPV events.

Unless Chisora sparks him inside 3 then his stock goes down. He was barely fringe contender off the back of the first fight. If he scrapes a decision in the rematch after sparking him last time, then his relevance goes down
